If anything, why couldn't the kids send cards of comfort to the widow? Or how about get well cards to wounded veterans?

Of all quotes available, she could find one from a convicted cop killer only?

Most are 8-9 years old.

Yes, that's the problem. You can't undo what the kids did. It would confuse them to tell them it was a bad thing to do. Pretty much have to leave it and move on.

Best they can hope to do is make sure it doesn't happen again.

This is not suprising. Mumia abu jamal is a hero to many, i believe he was a religious leader in a group called move. and if memory serves there is some doubt if he actually did it..
I dont think.she should resign. or even apologieze. Im not black but i can see why many view him as a hero who got railrooded.
