11 die in wrong way accidents in CA, FLA

Sad, I wish there was a way to stop drunk driviers. I don't drink at all and have 0 tolerance for people who drink and drive.
 
Start installing breath analyzers in every cars/trucks/motorcycles/buses/airplanes/trains, and all motorists. They will not start the engine if over .05 alcohol limit or something. That would save a lot of people's life.

I have no tolerance for drunk drivers, either. If I ever catch one, he ain't going anywhere.
 
We have followed a few in our day. We stayed back, called 911 then followed them closely but safely.

I have been called for jury duty a few times and was released because I am a member of MADD (mother agains drunk drivers)

I've heard of this. They do all they can to make sure nothing happens to the offender nor the people. It's a good cause, and they DO get the person where they belong if they see them driving drunk. However, I don't know everything about the organization.

Useless, Won't help for drugs and easy to cheat breath analyzers with canned air or air compressors

It happened to me once years ago....(but I wasn't drunk)....just got off work at 2AM (night)...and there was a lot of road construction going on in that area....It was also very dark....changing from a 2-lane to a 4-lane highway.....

I was driving along...then saw all the cars coming and I thought..."what the heck?"....they are driving the wrong way!....:shock:...I had to pull over on the median to avoid a head-on collision.....then was able to turn around and go into the right direction....never foget it!
 
This just happen to me not that long ago, a car was going the wrong way. It is a small island in the street and the car going the wrong was supposed to be on the right side of the island but he was not . I was lucky the person was not speeding we would of had a head on collision . The guy could had been drunk too. That is horrible 11 people are dead because of two people driving drunk. Disgusting!
 
drunk driver is murderer as far as i can see and need full force of law but they dont get it..may aswel have loaded gun in hand and blindfold on
 
I read a similar article about Olivia Culbreath being a wrong way car driver in which she killed 6 people due to her drunkenness. This is precisely why I am against drunkenness. Drunkenness just causes people to make poor decisions. Drunken people are selfish when they opt to drive themselves home (or wherever) without calling for a taxi or even not having friends/family members around to watch out for them.

It is always ironic when the drunken driver is the only one alive as that surely will cause the driver to think about his/her choices behind bars for the rest of his/her natural life.
 
Drunk driving is very stupid.

I never drive drunk in my life.

I drink beer in moderation, especially Budweiser and it didn't cause drunk with one bottle, but I became drunk after drank 3 cup of Cosmo on my birthday and didn't drive at all.
 
Ugh, I attend school at USF and live not too far away from the area. Man, it's so hard to believe. I'm pretty sure this driver HAD to be intoxicated... There are WAY too many signs everywhere around here indicating where you can and can not go. Most intersections to interstates around here have lights as well... Poor kids, so young. :( They had a nice little memorial on 275 Sunday evening. It backed up traffic, but I really think most were understanding. So so so terribly sad. :(

Trust me, I got buddies who have ignition interlock devices and they all work on the same principle.

Please use your own judgement when you do that. Know why? It may involve a weapon. If I were you, I call 911 and let cops do their job since they have guns to defend themselves.

I've scuffled with criminals before. Nothing new for me. Even knocked one out.
