I wouldn't blame you. I just believe in the principle of not comforting with a lie, knowing the truth hurts, it beats dragging it out, when it isn't necessary. I live alone as well. Never bothered me, but then again, I wasn't raised to be dependant. It is your fault for being dependant, especially that you have a kid, who depends on you.

I understand your perspective in helmets. Better safe than sorry. Like you, I won't drive without a seatbelt nor ride without motorcycle gear and a helmet. Like you, in the journeys to the destination, is where the stories lie. Ain't nothing like a biker cowboy sharing stories of journeys.

I've been there. In a small town in Kentucky. Going to the same grocery store shopping, the first time, cop showed up to watch me and it never failed I was followed for 3 months before they realized I'm a law abiding deaf tattoo junkie. Some places are spooked.

That had to have been seriously shocking at first. Wow. I can only imagine the scenario that went down with that one.
