    Which OS do you prefer?

mac, once I went macbook I never went back. if you're a designer/developer/programmer/etc with the mac's intuitive keyboard shortcut system, spotlight, and multi-touch system you'll be working like a pro. i've also forgotten about all virus/malware issues as they are extremely rare on os x.

Direct Input Audio Cable w/ Mic for CI Users

Hey all, I've got the Neptune CI and was wondering if anyone's heard of a modified direct audio 3.5mm cable that also has a mic that could be used with a cell phone? Basically like your iPhone earbuds with the mic, but rather than ear buds there is just another male 3.5mm connection. As...

am I the only one? NO BASHING!!

really, so how long before you started noticing the bass? How is music for you now? That's great news, it's hard listening to everything for too long right now as it sounds so static / high toned. audiology was also saying bass / music will sound better if I get a second implant - I opted...

WTF Hearing aids are worth more than their weight in than gold!

I'd just finished paying for a pair of Oticon Agil mini-BTE's, cost me 5500$. Insurance companies up in Can usually have a max amount, usually ridiculously low, for ex $500/2 years. Before that I had Siemens CIC Music Pro ($3000i) and needed to replace those after just a few years. It's...

am I the only one? NO BASHING!!

I've just been implanted with the Neptune after losing my hearing from SSHL and know what you mean. I used to wear hearing aids and found that background noise annoying with them too. For the CI, I wish we could get some bass! More channels, sigh one day hopefully. When they turned on...

    Swimming with CI...

This is a big issue for me too, I love a good swim and then a soak in the hot tub at the pool or a day at the beach and don't do these things as much being deaf. I'm getting a CI soon and am very happy about AB's Neptune, will definitely be choosing that.

    oticon streamer

I have one with the Oticon Agil's, it works great. I had it paired up to 3 phones, the laptop, the ipod, and with the TV connect it let me listen to that too. For the both they charge normally around 500 I was told. Don't get to use it any more, looking into CI's now, but it was definitely...
