Hello I am a lesbian, partially deaf

There is too much helpful info here for one misunderstanding to run me off. I'll just tread lightly from now on, lol. Yes I know you j/k.

    Any tennis fans?

Sharapova is so inconsistent I'm never surprised when she loses. I think Victoria Avarenka will take the Championship, but clearly anything could happen at this point. You're probably right about Nadal winning, but I'm pushing for Federer.

    Any tennis fans?

Anyone follow tennis? I was wondering if anyone had thoughts about the Australian Open. Serena Williams lost in one the early rounds. Some say the heat was too much for her. On the Men's side, I'd like to Federer win it all.

Hello I am a lesbian, partially deaf

Perhaps I should have said SOMEONE instead of YOU, lol. I'm still learning the INS and OUTS of AD.

Hello I am a lesbian, partially deaf

I'm sorry, but you quoted my post so I responded to your post. Perhaps I should have made more effort to distinguish, but I thought the context was clear. It was never my intent to say YOU were anti-gay (I don't know you). It's a simple misunderstanding.

Hello I am a lesbian, partially deaf

LOL! I didn't say you did. Maybe you should pay attention to what I posted and the context of it. Why are you resorting to name calling?

Hello I am a lesbian, partially deaf

If SOMEONE doesn't mind THEIR post potentially being removed, then by all means post anti-gay stuff to your heart's desire. Edited to be more general in tone.

Hello I am a lesbian, partially deaf

There is a forum for debate/dissenting opinion, this forum appears to be defined as PRO GLBT commentary. It's pretty simple in my eyes. I don't get the need for people who are anti-gay (w/ anti-gay commentary) to come to a pro-gay forum and expect... what? Also, I am deaf and I have opinions...

Hello I am a lesbian, partially deaf

Again, I'm new here. I don't know anything about what happened in the Religion forums. I would say the same rule should apply there. However, religion is more diverse. There are many different religions with different beliefs. The GLBT forum seems more defined. The moderator made it pretty clear...

    NFL 2013-2014

Sermon showed a lack of class. I was very disappointed watching that display.

Hello I am a lesbian, partially deaf

This is what boggles my mind. From what I can tell (I'm new to AD), this forum is a POSITIVE place for GLBT people. This forum is about GLBT people and THEIR lives. So why would someone who does not have positive feelings towards this community come here? Why should people who are GLBT have to...

Husband of pregnant woman wants her off life support

I think in situation like this there is no right or wrong answer. If it were me, I'd allow the mother to stay on life support. However, I would definitely take legal action to ensure that the financial burden is handled and does not ruin me. The child is likely (not definitely) to have defects...

    Total Late Deafness and Voice...

Very interesting thread. I'm late deafened due to VHL. I can relate to a lot of things posted. Everyone is different. I talk and I'm learning ASL. I never knew about Deaf people possibly not liking late deafened people. That makes me sad, because I am hoping to meet more Deaf/deaf individuals...

    Hello! From MI.

Hi, Monie I read your visitor msg on my page, but couldn't figure out how to reply. I know how you feel. I was in College when my hearing started to go. I had people who would laugh at me when I couldn't hear things. It would be friends, family and strangers. It was not a good feeling and that...

    Hello! From MI.

I just looked up the difference between deaf and Deaf. I totally get it. I didn't even have to ask. I'm learning.

    Hello! From MI.

Thanks Derek! Not in that area and don't drive unfortunately. That may change one day though.

    Hello! From MI.

I am new in every since of the word. I've been learning ASL for a few months. This is just one step in a right direction. I am deaf and lost my hearing at 21. I felt sorry for myself and secluded myself for several years. I've recently decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and get out there...
