    I have a Kanso (free exchange from N6 due to recent surgery). It has the same internals as the N6. There *is* a button on it, so you can change programs without the remote. It does require disposable batteries. Mine last about 2 or 2.5 days - that will vary based on your program, skin thickness...

    Has anybody liked their CIs?

    Yup... I know which of the three brands is *supposed* to be better for music. I don't have that brand, and I'm doing fantastically well with music (both performing and listening). I've even taken up singing, which I never did before.

    Anyone experienced cros or bicross hearing aids?

    I wore a bicross for quite a number of years (I now have CIs). It helped nothing at all with directionality but it did help a lot to deal with conversations from the "deaf" side - for example, when driving.

    Yes, it still has the input jack. It's located on the "bottom" of the device and it goes straight in.
