I didn't realize this. This must be why I can't hear well using the iPhone 5c. I've been using a streamer plugged into the headphone jack, that wirelessly streams the signal to my hearing aids. I use it together with Facetime or Skype so i can lipread the speaker.

The weather here is absolutely horrible, it's very humid, extremely hot, in fact, so hot it's boiling. At least that's how I imagine it feels to the eggs I'm cooking. ;)

I'm happy with my iPhone 5c. I like how it hands off messages, etc between the phone and my MacBookPro. On the other hand, it is my first smartphone. So I don't have anything else to compare it to.

There are interpreters who are deaf/hoh. I saw a video about it a while back. There was a woman who went to RIT who was deaf/hoh and she got an interpreter's certificate to interpret in certain situations. I'm not sure what the details were. Something to research.
