How to stay safe while sleeping in a cool/cold house

Cover your ears! We loose heat through our ears so easily- I usually sleep with a hoodie on and pull the hood up if I know its going to get cold.

    New hearing aids! Yay!

I just got my new Unitron hearing aids in today! I am super happy with them and thought you all would enjoy some pics... When I got them the receptionist said they were some of the coolest ones they'd handled in a while

    RIC advice?

The RIC seems nice. I think it's the dome that's driving me crazy. Did you have problems with the hearing aid flipping over your ear? I feel like mine are too loose but I'm sure that can be adjusted. I really need to go in and ask him specifically what kind of molds and tubing im getting and...

    soundbite: new hearing device

I imagine there'd be a lot of feedback  Okay okay, I promise I didn't just jump in for butt jokes. It looks interesting? Not my cup of tea and not something I could benefit from anyway. You'd think it would have to be pretty waterproof, sitting in saliva day in and day out- I wonder if...

    RIC advice?

Does anybody have any experience with the Moxi Kiss, or any Unitron brands? Or RIC hearing aids in general. I'm on a trial with a pair and so far they seem good and I'm pretty sold on them, but it's my first set of digital hearing aids and I'd love to hear some input from other people. I'm...

    Hello!

Thank you all for the welcoming messages! I've been working and haven't been able to reply very fast. As for me being interested in artwork, I play around with it as a hobby- the Mona Lisa has always fascinated me, however. I also adore the movie 'Mona Lisa Smile', so there's that too- along...

    Hello!

Thought I'd get around to introducing myself! I am MonaLisa, and I live in the northwest United States. I have moderately severe SNHL in my left ear, and possibly new hearing loss in my right- only the left is aided, but this Thursday we'll see what's up with the right one and if the left has...

    Adjustment to late onset deafness

I know that it's not graded and it's just to help, and then at the same time I'm a perfectionist and can't stand having failed something, LOL. Did you have any backlash from your friends or family when you lost your hearing? I feel like my family is giving me a lot of flack for something I...

    Adjustment to late onset deafness

You all are free to skip my rant... I have an audi appointment on Thursday and I have so much anxiety around it that it's making me crazy. I'd love to vent to my friends or family, but nobody seems to really understand my standpoint. I grew up in a hearing family. I am the first one to...
