dd, some CI users, in the right setting, conditions and amplification levels can hear things many hearing people don't pick up. Obviously, one doesn't get a CI to "out hear" a hearing person, but I'm willing to bet the day will come when some (many?) CI users routinely "hear" birds, frogs...
