I'm not sure what you mean by identical, but I believe it has directional mics on it if that is what you're referring to. Mine is definitely not water proof, do they make a fully water proof HA?

I agree, I was thinking if I could just there and adjust each setting until I found the missing frequencies it would be a huge help. The small adjustments in the audiologists office are difficult for me to distinguish, especially in the small room that we use for adjustments. It doesn't help...

Yes, I'm completely deaf in my right ear. I have LVAS which is the cause of my recent hearing loss in my left and I believe to by why I lost my hearing due to a head injury when I was 3. I didn't know I had LVAS until a couple of years ago.

Do you currently work? Just curious how supportive your employer has been through this and for any time off for recovery? I may be heading in this direction in future... Sill on HAs for now and hopefully awhile.

I consistently go through batteries every 48 hours, the bicross sucks battery life. Nowhere near what you're doing though!
