I hate when I can't find my hearing Aide!!

Guess I should have read the whole thing. Now that I think I about it I have put my HA in my shirt pocket while riding on public transit trains, but it goes right back in as soon as I'm off. Why not buy the mints for $1 and dump the mints or give them away. If the hack actually works well.

I hate when I can't find my hearing Aide!!

Why would you put it in your pocked? I need my HAs to hear so its in my ear from when I wake up till I go to bed, then its on the night stand. If I'm in the shower its on the shelf in my closet. I even keep on when I ride my motorcyle, I just turn it down. If I have to take them off, the go...

    Second Hearing Aid - WOW!

Interesting, I have EVA too. I lost my hearing in my right ear around 3 years old due to an accident. Then lost a lot of my hearing in my left at 28 yrs old (33 now) and started wearing a hearing aid then. Does your hearing fluctuate? I've met one other person on here that has it as well...

    Phonak CROS

I'm not sure what you mean by identical, but I believe it has directional mics on it if that is what you're referring to. Mine is definitely not water proof, do they make a fully water proof HA?

Headset to Headphones in the Car

My Resound Linx hearing aid allows me to turn my iPhone into a remote microphone that transmits directly to my hearing aid. Furthermore I can turn the microphone on the hearing aid itself off so that the only input I'm getting into my hearing aid is through the microphone on the iPhone...

    Phonak CROS

I've been deaf in my right ear since I was about 3 yrs old. I started using the cross a couple of years ago. Overall the functionality of it is great, it doesn't help me identify where sound is coming from at all. I didn't expect it to either, it is really effective when having people come up...

    Hypersound Speaker System and HAs

Has anyone tried out the Hypersound home theater system? It is supposed to provide directional sound, just curious how effective this is with hearing aids for those of us that still need captions on with our hearing aids on. I find myself dependent on captions even when I'm wearing...

    ReSound Smart App for iPhone

I've got it and love it, I always have my phone on me so it is extremely convenient. I had the phonak remote with my Naidas and it was a PITA. With the Resound I adjust the bass to compensate for certain voices that are too boomy or when on the phone I like to turn it down as well. The way it...

    Getting the right adjustment

I agree, I was thinking if I could just there and adjust each setting until I found the missing frequencies it would be a huge help. The small adjustments in the audiologists office are difficult for me to distinguish, especially in the small room that we use for adjustments. It doesn't help...

    Getting the right adjustment

Yes, I'm completely deaf in my right ear. I have LVAS which is the cause of my recent hearing loss in my left and I believe to by why I lost my hearing due to a head injury when I was 3. I didn't know I had LVAS until a couple of years ago.

    Question about CI...urgent

Do you currently work? Just curious how supportive your employer has been through this and for any time off for recovery? I may be heading in this direction in future... Sill on HAs for now and hopefully awhile.

    Getting the right adjustment

I can't remember what it's called, but the audiologist does have a machine that I sit in front of that has one mic in the ear and one out while comparing the sounds of the two. Is this what you're referring to? I'm scheduled to do this again since I just switched to a hard mold ear insert...

I consistently go through batteries every 48 hours, the bicross sucks battery life. Nowhere near what you're doing though!

    Getting the right adjustment

Thank you everyone for the advice! I should have mentioned that I have a remote and 5 programs loaded onto the HA. I mostly cycle through the modes when I'm having trouble, typically in meetings. I have 1 custom program that boosts the mid range, I haven't found that it really makes a whole lot...

    Getting the right adjustment

How do you go about getting your hearing aids adjusted properly? I'm having trouble figuring out what needs adjusting so I can hear speech clearly. Its not a volume issue... I feel like speech isn't clear, like I'm missing certain parts. It's hard for me to distinguish changes the audiologist...
