I heard about it years ago as an arrangement that worked well for at least one divorced couple. Their argument was it disrupted the children's life the least as they stayed in one home and didn't have to go back and forth. I guess if a parent would or was able to put their children's interests...

I can't speak for the OP, but all that was asked was what did that sign mean, as in...if you used that sign what would it mean. Perhaps forget about the song lyrics and think about the sign's use in day to day conversation. As far as I can find that sign as described doesn't mean shame...

It can work and often does, but you shouldn't just turn off the disposal, you should unplug it if it's plugged into a wall socket or cut power to it by flipping the circuit breaker.

It may be easier to understand your way, but, for me, it's a lot easier to form the sign by doing the 'R' first and then the 'Y'.

I ride between a 100 and 400 miles a week depending on the weather and work schedule. Some is commuting and a lot is recreational. Best conditions are early morning before traffic gets heavy on a calm and cool morning.
