    Truck died

Chevy truck? I recall you mentioned it last time. What year? Engine size? Suggest you to spray carburetor cleaner into the throttle, start the engine to see what happens... If it runs then quit that indicates fuel pump. No Check Engine light? Ummm, I guess your truck is pre-OBD-II

    Towing them back

The most mechanical problems in 3.7L V6 and 4.7L V8 are cylinder heads where the valve seats are loose because the aluminum cylinder heads from early model year, became expanded due to heat, allow the harden valve seats starting to be loose, causes misfire. Engine block or pistons or crankshafts...

    Keyless ignition problem

Anytime I buy a new or used vehicle, I demand tachometer in a cluster where I can see RPM to make sure the engine is running or off before I leave the vehicle. For electric vehicle, I may not need tachometer because the electric motor will run when you hit accelerate pedal.

    Keyless ignition problem

Yep. I think they (car makers) should fix the FOB or software in modules when you take your FOB with you and leave the vehicle, forget to turn the engine off, FOB will send frequent signal to the modules then computer will shut the engine down when it's lost frequent signal like 25 feet away...

    R12 and R134A refrigerant

Most vehicles have evaporator temperature sensors in HVAC cases under the dash, PCM or BCM use this evaporator temperature sensor to shut A/C compressor down if the temperature reach freezing point of 32 degree F to prevent freeze or icing in the evaporator. That is why I never see 30 or 31...

    R12 and R134A refrigerant

Yeah because the high speed blower will flow the evaporator core, cause the vent outlet temperature little higher. Get real cold, set low speed blower. I still use my old 1 inch dial thermometer, hard to read small dial thermometer.

    R12 and R134A refrigerant

I never seen 31 degree F in my life. I don't trust Chinese made digital thermostic or need recalibrate thermostic. Most I service AC in SoCal is above 36 degree F with 70 degree F ambient temperature and low humid.

Having a vehicle stolen in front of Firestone

My techs and I do that like we move the vehicles outside of the service station, performing fuel injection cleaner or let the engine running for some reasons such as observe coolant temperature gauge reading or engine stall itself or wait for MIL popping out or warm-up engine something like that...

Oh I understand clear...... Your car have low freon or moisture/air in system, time for AC service if your car haven't service for long time...If your car have been service in few months or year ago, I would suspect there is too much oil in system or weak compressor like what jonnyghost...

    Dual-clutch Transmissions

Visit Honda and Hyundai dealership, try to drive test to see how CVT/ DCT affect your feeling or comfy. Much different than what you used to driving your older vehicle.

    Dual-clutch Transmissions

Are you buying new vehicle with CVT or DCT in the future? I've been picking up foreign vehicles (most German cars) for oil services or smog inspection, notice these vehicles won't move with 1st gear or reverse engages when I back off the brake pedal, like I say What, I double check the shift...

    2014 F450 Black Ops

Not in my iPad. We send this truck to the dealership to reprogramming the software in PCM. I use to look up TSBs in iATN and for Alldata I use a shop computer. I do not perform software upgrades in the shop, often we punt the vehicles over the dealerships to reprogramming or flashing computer...
