Yes, that is true until they no longer did benefit us enough. That is the whole point. We wore aids till aids didn't help, then we chose CI. End of it. That is our choice, and our surgeons/audi's choice.

I know what you mean. It can be nerve wracking and terrible. When mine kicks up, it almost hurts and/or makes me wince. But, it should only be for a short time, then you will have the processors back on and things will be better.

My CI is on the side that never had a hearing aid. My speech discrimination made it seem silly to pay the extra money for one. So, I don't have an ear mold for that ear. I am sure I can always get my audi to make one, but for now, I am actually happier with the way things are. I had been using...

Lisa, that feeling is quite common with some head colds. I have felt that feeling many times. Most of the time it was just your standard head cold, other times, there was fluid behind the eardrum. If that were the case, an OTC antihistamine should help a lot. Something like benadryl or sudafed...

That should work for you and you will be fine. It will only be for a little while, and then you can put them back on again.
