Hm.... Why not implant the children that were born hearing and lost their hearing at an early age, and allow children born deaf to be deaf but give them hearing aids if that works (CI as a last choice if the hearing aids don't work out)? I so agree that we should be given a choice if possible...

Each child is different, and you are right about every parents should be allowed to be given every card laid out on the table. Each child will have different preferences or needs that the parents will have to face sooner or later regarding the way they learn.

I haven't had that problem yet so far because I act like a hearing. But yeah, that'd annoy me if they did such a thing. I'm used to little children staring at me funny when they see my earmolds or hear the funny accent or whatever in my voice when I speak. I'd stare back at those rude hearing...

I went for like the first time a few years ago because this girl I babysat for one night (her mom was pregnant) so I went to their baby shower. So much fun! They have fun games to play and good food to eat! I enjoyed it... I can't wait until I get married and have friends who are throwing...
