I always ask them if it would be easier or not to keep HA's( now CI) or glasses on. Most of them usually want me to take them off. Also just cause things happens that you don't like doesn't mean your rights were violated. That's just life and things happen and you gotta roll with the punches.

It will take time to get used to it. Might need adjustments here and there after using it for couple of weeks. I would advise to stick with it for short while. Welcome and good luck! :)

You can't expect all restaurants to have interpreters on standby at all times. Reasonable accommodations is pointing at the menu what you want to order or write on paper any questions you have or if they need to ask you anything. I rarely have problems just by pointing at the menu.

Right above where you type, there is a chain icon(insert link) and smiles icon. Hover over the icon in between and it'll say insert image (ctrl-p). It'll let you add a picture. Hope this helps!

That's a great idea! I might do same for my alarm. The battery in it keeps time but won't shake bed. That'll solve the problem just in case the power is out during the time I need to wake up.

Sorry to hear you are having to deal with this. I can imagine how much it would hurt for someone to try to use the fact you are deaf like this. Hope things get better for you.
