A footnote to the above: Sunnybrook/Toronto. Since 1983 they have examined 3000 adults for Cochlear Implant consideration. Of that 2000 were "deemed unsuitable" for implantation- variety of reasons. I was part of the 1000. Of that group 18 didn't receive any benefit from being implanted.

Presumably the peace part comes from "entities being dead".
Normally very quiet state-to say the least.
aside: no sure about "vampires/living dead" now presumed to be "drivers of evolution"?
Just checked the index of Evolution-History of an idea-no listing for vampires.
Perhaps...
Anyone interested in how the Idea of evolution from a historical point of view-consider "Evolution: the History of an idea" Peter J Bowler University of California Press, Berkeley California 1983 412 pages.
He was a professor at The Queen's University at Belfast
Don't recall that humans were "differentiated by breeds" which only the "fittest" survived from the long past- eons ago.
Which "characteristics" were deemed to be "keys to survival" unknown at the present time.?
Not sure if Google can answer that hypothesis?
Does "humankind" personally...
I was 70 when implanted however I was deemed to be in excellent health. Thanks in part to daily swimming. I recovered very quickly and could resume swimming 2 weeks after the operation.
This all happened almost 8 years ago.
As we know one is examined extensively at that age-
The logical answer if man never existed on this earth since the "beginning of time" then "whatever" did would/might still be "here". Does Google know?
The "problem" where would "humankind" be "located" if still existent?
Fortunately we don't to have to get to "excited" as that eventuality...
Though I deemed to be "ISTJ" however the test doesn't seem to factor that one is deaf. Which can/does alter exactly one interacts in social interactions.
It might be an "interesting" thought to consider what if "humans didnt "arrive" on this earth eons ago?
That raises the question-why dinosaurs were "picked" to start the evolution process?
I would suspect not too many people are "unduly preplexed" at the present time.
Seems life is too...
To reinforce what I commented above: My brother was 16 months younger than me. Also had the same "hearing problems" I had=Sensorineural/genetic.
When I became "bilateral deaf-December 20, 2006" and went through the process at Sunnybrook/Toronto-relativel quickly... He tried about a year...
From my experience at Sunnybrook/Cochlear Implant section-Toronto.2007.
One can't determine ahead of time what may/will happen when implanted. The reason- each of us is very peculiar on how our brains handle the different imput of sound via Cochlear Implant.
All one can do is be very...
If you found a deaf site/location I assume the deaf persons there would "voice off" and use ASL.
The obvious question do you use/understand ASL?
If not would you hire/use and interpreter to interact with them on your behalf?
Hopefully you can "solve your feelings of being trapped"...
On the face of it-strange that ASL interpreters have to be reminded of the concept "deaf heart".
Oddly enough-this is the first time I ever read of the "term-deaf heart".
What will I learn from Alldeaf.com next?
I can well understand the long time to just get started would cause "grave concern".
I can't explain the situation in London as compared to Sunnybrook/Toronto today.
aside: I recall reading the long time for processing patients for Cochlear Implants consideration- years ago.
Wished I had...
As I recall the appointment at Sunnybrook/Toronto was made by St Michaels ENT. It was 2 weeks.
aside: at a patients meeting a couple of years ago we were informed that since 1985 Sunnybrook has examined 3000 referred adults for Cochlear Implant examination.2000 were deemed "unsuitable" -...
