I am looking for an interpreter program near New Jersey/NYC area. What schools have interpreter programs in that area? I've tried doing research and all I've found is NYU which is SO expensive. :( Are there other options?

Well I have to learn more than just basic ASL. I have to learn how to interpret ASL into oral English and then interpret oral English back into ASL. It's a lot more complicated than I thought it would be. :)

Well thank you! I love helping people! That's definitely my goal. I watch professionals on youtube.com all the time and I really hope that one day I will be as amazing and as fluent as some of them! It's a work in progress. I'm still on the more SEE side than the ASL side. I'm learning...

Ouch, LA is really really expensive. I'm just getting out of college and I'd really prefer somewhere affordable, lol. Phoenix is a dustbowl and hot, too. I was thinking maybe somewhere around the D.C. area, possible... Baltimore, Alexandria, Richmond, etc. Not really sure yet, still doing...

I figured the R stood for Rochester. haha! Of course I've heard of Gallaudet and McDaniels, but not RIT. I'll have to look into it, but I've always said I didn't want to be in school for eight or twelve years. I just don't have the patience for being lectured and taking tests and all of that...
