How do deaf people talk louder?

Voice levels differ with many hoh people, I tend to talk too loud & sometimes asked to lower my voice, I don't let it worry me. Main thing to try not to get too stressed about it & try to stay relaxed. Have you mentioned in these meetings that you have hearing difficulties?, they must &...

How do i explain i don't want my hearing aids?

Wow Evie, sorry but your story sounds like you were acting like a spoilt brat, you didn't actually state whether you were losing them intentionally or genuinely, were you subconsciously losing them?. I hated wearing my aid at the age of 56, but I stuck with them, now they have opened a new...

    Do you exercise regularly?

Avoid getting a potbelly, I do a lot of walking like 5 mile or my longest walks of around 10 miles, country walks being the best, I have a few weights I use, but can never really get into a routine, it's just random at the moment, I'm happy that I can control my weight, If I do eat much I walk...

Is it normal to be single at 27?

Hey Broave, you're still young & have plenty of time, I didn't have a gf till I was 38, too busy with work & general life, but you will meet a good partner, you will both just automatically click. As for venues it could happen anywhere & you'll know it when it happens.

    Hearing loss Pet Peeves!

Yes, but screens reduces the persons voice of the other side of it, hearing people wearing mask has oddly not been a problem for me, I've never seen clear masks, just silly one with lips or a silly big grin printed on them.:D

    Hearing loss Pet Peeves!

I'm so relieved that compulsory wearing of masks is almost coming to an end, here in the UK, but I wish protective screens weren't used so much, they're like a sound barrier. Anyone else find these screens reduce their hearing the person on the other side?.

    Are you joking!

I saw my brother lying down on the piano with his ear on the keys. On asking him, he replied that it was the best way to learn to play by ear. The thief was caught for stealing dozens of hearing aids. I am wondering if he will be given the deaf penalty!. :whip:
