    numbers with dmom:)

I can imagine that would be *very* hard! I don't have dyslexia, I was never diagnosed with it, but to what I think is a lesser degree I can swap things without realizing it. In certain contexts, I always had to use little tricks in my mind to keep from doing that. I taught an undergrad course on...

    numbers with dmom:)

Hey dogmom, if you're feeling patient, I want to look at the 25x4=4x25 thing from the pics of you thread. (And if you feel really patient, I'd be totally up for having a continued conversation in PM or email or whatever.) Anyway: When you multiply by 4, you're basically saying "I have 4 of...

Pics of you - Part V

Hey Dogmom - thanks for writing this up for me. It's helpful for me. I have a bunch of things I want to say, but I also want to stop helping derail the pics thread. So I'm going to start another thread here: http://www.alldeaf.com/general-chat/117066-numbers-dmom.html#post2293309

    Hello

Hey funsize, you'll need to contact a moderator and ask them to delete this thread. Also, I'm not sure why you're capping every word in this last post - it's a little frustrating to read, at least for me. Good luck with the other thread - a much better start I think!

Pics of you - Part V

Hey dogmom, You've walked into one of my compulsions, explaining math stuff. :0 I think the original multiplication was just 25x4=100 (or 4x25 - maybe better to visualize in that order.) I was just saying that if you know that a quarter is 25 cents, then when you see 4x25 you could...

Awe you're sweet. It's really true, how important it is to find work you love. And yeah, this does sound like Jess should get a couple swings at this waste of human tissue. This might actually be a really cool AllDeaf meetup. Does anyone know how to hogtie and set up a spit?

    *another* polar vortex??? :(

Haha you're nicer than I am. I was envisioning a, um, different scenario.

I agree that some threads need to die. I don't want to bump that particularly disgusting one, so I'm moving over here. Angel mentioned that she'd like to watch RR's, um, surgical endeavors, and I was thinking she's probably not the only one. Maybe, RR, you should think about charging admission...

    *another* polar vortex??? :(

I don't think it means we'll continue to have winter and never get spring and summer. I think it just means it will be colder than usual. I'm seeing the phrase "relatively cooler" - here's one link, but so far I can't find the one I was looking for Potential Record Ice on Lake Superior May Mean...

    *another* polar vortex??? :(

I read that this summer might not get very warm for alot of areas affected by the Great Lakes because they're so thoroughly frozen. It's going to take them a long time to melt, and they'll keep cooling the air until they do.

    Deaf bros hook me up!

Wow, lots of people here are being really rude to you - I'm sorry, for whatever that's worth. Anyway, I want to actually give you some advice that I hope will be helpful to you. First, does she sign? Does she have Deaf friends she likes to hang out with? Do they seem important to her? (You...
