Yea CICs and ITEs are really noticeable from the front. A big hard plastic thing with knobs and buttons in your ear is a lot more noticeable than a transparent silicon mold and a small tube :)

It usually is. BTW a lot of HoH people can't hear their voice well, so they speak loudly to compensate. They don't realize they're speaking loudly until after they get a hearing aid :)

I think so too.. you don't necessarily have to have a "deaf accent" if you are deaf.

It's not exactly like normal, notice she says "I just push the telecoil button on the remote" -- the receiver in the Rondo uses a telecoil to read and interpret the magnetic signals coming off the phone. This might not work with all phones.

I pretty much agree with everyone else, it may have nothing to do with him being raised oral, but saying this or that is wrong and should be excluded is just plain silly. Author himself admits that he managed to get a doctorate with it, how can it be bad if it allowed him to do that? :P

APD here too I can eventually understand speech in noise, but it depends on the type of noise. If many people are speaking, I can't hear and understand all of them at once. If I sort of focus on one person, and then listen to him/her for a while, then it starts making sense, but he/she has to...

I think a general rule is, never use MS's latest operating system, it may be faster and better looking, but it will take a while for all the bugs to be fixed :)
