    Tip of the iceberg...

I have no problems with comprehending written English. Different English words can sound similar. Beach-Bitch, Sheet - Shit, Pear - Pair and so on, I know there differences in pronunciation, but when reading lips, they look same.

    Tip of the iceberg...

I've been fooling myself whole my life. Because I grew up in a hearing community, and couldn't understand what is wrong with me. I remember myself since preschool - everyone was singing, and I couldn't get the point of this activity. I started to realize something goes wrong, when it was about...

Hearing student needing feedback on a augmented reality project

I usually don't mind. I'm excited about all kinds of ideas and technologies. But people are different. By the way, here is an idea - you can create this device to make translations not only between Deaf and Hearing worlds, but also between the different languages. Google Translator API is quite...

    Aloha!

It is because you are not registered, and you don't know what is the next. They register first, and then tell you which number you get. I have 2 of them, one for the mobile app, and another for the browser. You have to prove your identity during the initial registration. It is a complex process...

    Aloha!

Yes, it requires to register first, and after they assign you a virtual number, then you are good to go. No problems. You don't need to call the phone, you need communicate by email. My registration process took couple days in 2014, but since then I'm living much more independent life.

Hearing student needing feedback on a augmented reality project

Sounds interesting! Yes, information should be available for switch. Also, I think it won't be in ASL, it more likely to be a SEE(Signing Exact English).

Hearing student needing feedback on a augmented reality project

Deaf people are very different. Some of us were raised orally, and some of them raised signing ASL. ASL and English are completely different languages. So for some Deaf people ASL signs could be a better choice, and for Deaf(non-signing yet) people like me would choose captions. Where are these...

Looking for insight on how to communicate with my deaf cousin.

It doesn't matter. Good speech recognizing API doesn't exist yet. They don't write speech recognizing API by themselves, it depends on the API they reuse. I live in a very diverse place. I still have an Ava on my phone though, tested it recently already. Still sucks. It works better for my kids...

    Aloha!

Dude, you live in Hawaii and you choose that Warcraft over a surf board? I used that Sprint Relay like for 3 years, and never had this problem. Could you give me a link on the Airnb property? Might would use it someday :)
