I love Dogs!...and all animals. I did get bit by a German Shepard once but it did not make me fearful of dogs. I've had a dog every since childhood. My current doggie is 9 years old, a Pomeranian and we are very closely bonded, we're best friends.

My Pomeranian works for me just fine...I trained her myself...LOL...She barks and growls, then licks my leg to alert me someone is at the door...I do have a door bell flasher, but if I'm in the bathroom my doggie is the one thing that alerts me. Sleeps with me too...and absolutely no one can...

It's happened to me too, in group conversations and one-on-one....Seems some people feel they have to walk on egg shells around those of us who have hearing problems...?? And in the past, (not sure about now), whenever a curse word on TV comes up, the captions will block it out....and inasmuch...

I really do feel for you!...It's painful and I still do experience pain in my right ear. The ear wax also does not form right (??) and stays embedded, so I see the ENT every 3-6 months for cleaning. My balance is off a lot too...But I'm so thankful I don't have anymore of those smelly, annoying...
