    Sign Names

I find the best thing to do is to use initials. When I am talking about a person and they don't have a sign name I use first and last letters throughout the conversation. If your friends all have different initials that could be a quick way to know who is with you.

    deaf name

Sign names are gifts that are giving off of a personal trait or something close to you. Getting a random one with no meaning is pointless. Some people never get one too. My mom and I attended the deaf school so she could learn asl. I got a name sign after a few weeks from a teacher but she never...

    Cochlear Implants

Having a ci doesn't make you any less or more. I personally would never implant a baby but I no longer give my two cents...

My brain cannot get used to my hearing aids

Make sure your t-coil is off. I get that a lot when I accidentally turn it on. But if that doesn't help go back. It shouldn't be doing that.

    New here

I wasn't born hoh but around 7 lost a good amount. I learned asl at 14 and it's opened up my world. I did also learn if you don't use it you lose it. Over the years (now 28 year old) I have used it less since I don't go out much and my partner is super loud as are my kids. Plus one of my kids is...

I try to check up everyday for something. A lot of zombie threads brought back by new members. And a lot of date site like activity. I miss the Dynamics this site use to have.
