There is nothing to keep you from getting one that is advertised for kids. They are just grouped together on the manufactures site because they think they will sell more of the colorful ones if they are grouped together and thus easy for parents to find all of them when looking for their kid(s).
I am completely deaf in one ear and have a very profound loss in the other one. I find that of Mart's list so many of them depend on the context in which they are said. I have even used some of them myself!
There was a segment about things being done for Parkinson's on CBS Mornings this morning (01-04-22) and it reminded me of the boxing program that Reba joined quite some time ago. A good deal of this one was about a dance program which seemed to me to be based on much the same idea. A boxing...
On the morning of Dec. 21, 2021 I opened All Deaf to a huge ad that I cannot get rid of. The problem is not that there is an ad at the very top of the page but that it is so, so large that it makes this site hard to use.
Korey this answer you gave bothers me "1) I wish all people knew what to do in order to communicate if they don’t know ASL.
If they refuse to learn ASL, they should already know what to do. Write back and forth,or find someone who knows ASL,it also means patience."
When someone does not know...
I was watching TV in bed before getting up this morning (Dec. 8, 2021) and a story came up on Channel 4 out of St. Louis about a new mask developed at SLU. A bit later I checked their web site and it was there. Here is the web site post about something I think might be good for general use as...
No reason not to at all. I was feeling so aware of Authentic's history of not seeing anything except ASL. I mentioned "And doing it in a understanding way" and asking if we sign is one of those ways.
Regardless of how you feel it is a population that cops have to deal with. And doing it in a understanding way can help with safety for both the cop and the person they are trying to communicate with.
You are forgetting that NOT all of us with enough of a hearing problem to have it as communication issue in some situations use American Sigh Language!! Or any other sign language for that matter.
They do have the advantage of being clear where masks in general are not. I have only seen a clear mask in use twice and that was during different trips to the same store and worn by an employee.
I am very hard of hearing but not completely deaf and do not sign. Since it came out I have used Live Transcribe. It is a smartphone application to get realtime captions developed by Google for the Android operating system. Development on the application began in partnership with Gallaudet...
I have no objection to something that is vegan. BUT I do not have vegan versions of ingredients on hand. Here is another way of stating what I was talking about in my original. Post at times I have seen something on TV and it looks good but I do not want to buy the vegan version of something...
Has anyone made a non-vegan version of what started out as a vegan recipe? For example cow's milk instead of vegan milk called for? I am not vegan but sometimes run across a recipe that looks good but have no desire to get the vegan version of something just for that one recipe.
Not having one I don't know how useful the following is but here goes.
FIRST: Wouldn't you be going over all of these settings with your audiologist to start out and then you have the advantage of fine tuning them without having to make an appointment with your audiologist?
SECOND: Isn't that...
I am not sure which country you are located in. Your use of "whilst" makes me think you may not be in the USA. The two things that follow are aps that apply to the US so do be aware of that.
I am retired so both of these are things that I make use of for personal use. I use an older phone...
