    Sorenson's closing for good.

Don't mind if I do. Thanks PFH. You've reminded me of something. I think I'll add a caption under my name, just so there aren't any misunderstandings as to the quality of service I provide. :hmm::ty:

    Sorenson's closing for good.

Oh, and I'm Canadian. Surprised? So you can tell your FCC that we are more than qualified to interpret for Deaf Americans...shameless plug regarding FCC docket 03-123. :ty: Assuming you're american, that is. And if you are, source it. LOL As for my name, it's me poking fun at...

    Sorenson's closing for good.

Posts from Hell...You don't represent Convo, do you? I mean, are you just a fan, or their spokesperson?

    Sorenson's closing for good.

Careful now. That sounds sarcastic. If you intended to sound sarcastic, then I must say...be fair my friend. I don't know what service you've had or heard about, but I am the most courteous, friendly, and professional interpreter out there. Even if you're having the worst day of your life...

    Sorenson's closing for good.

I detect sarcasm, lol. Who knows what they are? Astronomical? I doubt it. Compared to what do you think? Are you suggesting Sorenson bills the FCC fraudulantly? There hasn't been a case of it, EVER. Yet, other companies have done it, got caught, and are paying the price...literaly...

    Sorenson's closing for good.

You surprise me Sargeras. Your other posts suggested you were someone savy; someone who ignores hearsay and follows the facts. Here, let me tell you what your comment about 8 million minutes has done. This unconfirmed fact has most likely propagated a frenzy of forum goers to spread it...

    Sorenson's closing for good.

I'd be curious to know how you know exactly how many minutes Sorenson bills for every month. Everytime I've seen those figures in Sorenson's public submissions to the FCC, they've been blacked out.

Telus has contracted Sorenson VRS to provide a limited VRS service on trial basis.

To whom it may concern, I am a professional ASL interpreter in Western Canada and I need to say that Mr.Henry Vlug is a very well-respected member of our Deaf community. So I have no doubt in my mind that what Mr.Vlug is saying about VRS in Canada is not only reputable, but carries with it...

    myth about vrs going away

Sorenson's message to the public was, in my professional opinion, interpreted incorrectly. Ron Burdett says that VRS will go away (ASL sign MELT), but the captioning says, "VRS as we know it will go away". Now I'm confused because both these utterances don't necessarily mean the same thing...

    Damn you Sorenson VRS!

Please don't be too discouraged. I work at Sorenson in Canada and I do community interpreting too. I believe I can use the skills I develop with VRS interpreting and give back to my Deaf community. I am a better interpreter for them because of my skill development and PD at Sorenson. I love...
