Do you have any plans for Passover/Easter?

My holidays just started and i don't go back to work until wednesday!, Racing is off schedule this weekend. So I am going to spend next 3 days chilling out, dog walking, gardening, do DIY around my home. On monday I am going to my deaf best friend house for easter dinner and dogs walking with alot of deaf friends from all over the places.

It sounds like you do have a hectic holiday. Me, too, I was sooo busy with my townhouse. The floormen were done with the new hardwood floors in every rooms except the kitchen and bathroom yesterday. It took them all day. A lot of work. This am around 11, the electric man will come to do the kitchen's light fixtures.
Have a wonderful Easter dinner with your best friend and dogs. Please give the furry dogs my kisses! *wink*
Happy Easter, Overthepond! :)

Will have dinner over at my grandma's who lives less than 5 mins from here, while my mom, stepdad will be there too as well.

Just less than 5 minutes!! Lucky you! All my family and friends lives far away from my home. Some lives in South and some lives an hour away or two.
Have a wonderful Easter dinner with your family. Happy Easter, Calvin!!! :)

Going to in-laws' for dinner. Same old same old...

:giggle:
Sometimes same old same old... and sometimes we have to take our turns.
Enjoy with your in laws'!!!
Happy Easter to you, Shel! (I know that I already said twice to you and everyone! LOL..) :)

Boy - It'll be a busy-filled weekend for me.

The kids and I will be heading out for a 3 hours drive to Western KY to visit my mother tomorrow after I get off work. And, then cross over the bridge to head over to Indiana to visit my father and his side of the family.

That also will give me a chance to see my grandmother (who has ovarian cancer) - I want to try to see her as much as possible before she gets to the point where she dies.

Then - On Sunday, we'll (the kids and I) be going to the deaf church (in the town where my mom lives at) and meet up with some old friends to go out for a lunch to chit chat. When all is done - Here comes another 3 hours drive to come back to home. :)

Boy, you do have a busy weekend, Jolie.
I am sorry to hear about your grandmother's illness. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I pray for her.
My friends and I will go to the deaf service church this Sunday as well.
Have a safe trip!
Happy Easter, Jolie! :)

On this Easter, I will be at my uncle's with my family and daughter :)

Hope you and Lexi, your daughter will have a nice Easter holiday with your Uncle's. It will be her first Easter with you all.
Happy Easter, WhisperHorse and your family! :)

Im going home to my moms after Adams birthday party Saturday.

We'll celebrate Adams fisrt Easter w/friends from church... and spend time w/those we love!!

Later we'll celebrate my dads life in his memorial service.

Sorry to hear about your dad. My thoughts and prayers are you and your family.
Have a nice safe holiday with your family. Happy Easter, Adamsmomma! :)

Easter? Probably go back out on the boat. Hang out for the day, and have dinner with family. :) If weather permitting. So far Easter is suppose to be a wonderful sunny day here!

We are going to color eggs. Tomorrow, for Good Friday.

I miss the boat, which my family and I used to hang. I remember my dad lets me driving his boat. And sunbathing and fishing.. It was a lot of fun.
My parents live in FL. My mother said the weather will be warmer around 83 degrees today. I hope your weather should be nice for the weekend.
It sounds like a lot of fun doing color eggs, by the way...
Happy Easter, BabyBlue!!! :)

We're staying home and we are going to cook grill Sirlion steak, potato salad, homemade dressing, baby lima beans, devil eggs and cake on Easter Sunday.

I used to love to eat some Grill Sirlion steak... I know that they are delicious... but I can't eat steak all the time but once in a while. I have to watch out for Migraines, which is no fun. :(

Enjoy with your family on Easter day!
Happy Easter! :)

<--Gotta work at the walfart during easter :(. I think I might do sumthing with the girls this Sat and maybe do it same time I do my big 38th birthday with them this day.

I just wanted to be first person to say Happy Birthday to you. I hope you enjoy your day!
Happy Birthday, (and Happy Easter), Sablescort!!! ;)

awww, Sosie, all your well-wishes really nice!! :D

My family not religious Jews but think of it from cultural/ethnic aspect; as a child I had a choice about whether I wanted to to be involved in the religious aspect and decided not. My folks didn't force anything on me in the hopes that I would be interested later as opposed to being resentful or upset at having been forced to do anything < as was the case with my very lapsed Catholic husband>. Well, I did come back to Jewish identity in college because there were SO few of us in this tiny college town, which I chose for my supposed major at the time, which did NOT work out. I am from a larger metro area so going there to school was VERY different for me. Anyway, safe and happy holiday/weekend plans to all -

nu, Sosie so u ate kosher foods, u have favorite?

what denomination of Judaism is the rabbi you speak of? <curious>

you chocolate cake sounds scrumptious!!

Aww thank you Sosie.
I am taking a breather at the moment and will be off out to take disabled friend for food shopping and sort out her pills (she got so many!!) tomorrow i would take the dog to my local beach (5 mins drive from my house) for walk as it supposed to be sunny and put roast on :D. Do paper work while roast cooks.
You (and your family, not forgetting your fur family) have a great easter X

I love threads like these, you learn neat things about everyone :)

If you make it a circle through southern Ohio Jolie you could make it to here by dinnertime :D

Well, we will be having dinner here and my brother's Birthday Party too. He is the Navy Seabee and his unit hasn't gone back over yet so we are pleased and happy he will be here for Easter.
There will be a smaller group than usual this year, around 15ish or so.

We always have Turkey and Ham plus all the trimmings, YUM!

Today, I am boiling 4 dozen eggs to take to the DV shelter later so I can color them with my kids. The little buggers are so excited! I also purchased Easter basket supplies and I am going to have each child draw a name, and then make a basket for the child whose name they have drawn.

Tomorrow, I will be going to my nephew's house for dinner with his family. The menu is rack of lamb, asparagus, and new potatoes. I'm making a coconut cake in the shape of a bunny head for the kids (been doing that one since my nephew was little!)

My 10 year old great nephew is going to have a quiet Easter, though. His appendix ruptured 3 days ago, and he had to have emergency surgery, poor little guy. He came home from the hospital yesterday, but is still moving very slowly from the stitches. No running around hunting eggs for him this year.

Awe!! Sounds great! Bet the kids will love that! At the DV shelter.

Rack of lamb! Ehhh!

Awe! Hope your nephew will enjoy a quiet Easter, with his favorite Aunt! :)

We are camping out for Easter. Colored the eggs last night. After the kids hunt them we well make egg salad sandwiches for lunch tmw.

An Easter camp out sounds like so much fun! I'm going to get the moms to help me hide the eggs in our teeny, tiny back yard! The kids won't have much trouble finding them, but that's the only place I could think of that would still be okay with the safety concerns for some clients.

Thanks! I'm sure that he will be the special boy of the day, getting to show his scar to his cousins! :giggle:

Don't most shelters have a privacy fence?

The one I stayed, at for a few days, did on the play ground and the outdoor area.

I am sure the kids will have fun. I remember feeling so guilty when I had to stay at a DV shelter. *sigh*

My kids knew something was wrong. It was not during any holidays. But I can imagine.

So I really look up to you. Making the family and childrens' lives more bearable and enjoyable. For the Easter weekend.

You are a truly wonderful person! :)

Especially being there for the kids.

Looks like my plans for this week has been changed. We had really bad thunderstorm/tornados in this part of the country. The power was out for several hours until earlier this morning.

It is so nice of your youngest son's Godmother to stop by and spend a day with you all on Easter day.
Happy Easter to you and your family! :)
How do you say Happy Easter in Germany?

:ty:

German: Frohe Ostern :P
