As for Obama, he has an ego alright but lacks any common sense with this amateur.
 
How ironic coming from someone who keeps turning topics into a discussion of his own acedemic achievements...of which noone cares about.
And look who's resorting to namecalling...calling Pelosi and idiot.
oh so innocent not....sure it's not directed at a member here....but it begs an response of same type. I consider her a friend....and when one calls a friend names it pulls in the same kind of response.
Therefore...your buddy Limbaugh (gawd, I can't see how someone would want to be friends with that guy)....is a you know what. And a truly disgusting person.
 
They're public officials and certainly people will make their dislikes known for their policy directions and how they conduct business, etc.... But in a discussion forum making personal attacks or name callings at commenters isn't the same thing.

But here's the ironic thing. When other peole do the same thing in AD attacking other politicians they don't like, or make lobs at famous figure heads (e.g. Limbaugh, Palin) by attacking them and do the name calling thing yet I don't complain about that because that's a given around here. People need to seriously discern the differences here in a discussion thread.

Some cultures consider any display of self esteem to be vulgar, others see any form of modesty as weakness. Americans have always tended to take a practical approach to such matters.

There is a time to be modest and a time to be egotistical. There is no right and wrong answer as to how a person "should" be. Being a culture that values freedom of choice we should also allow a greater cultural choice as to what amount of "ego" or "modesty" can be demonstrated by an individual.


The real questions are a lot more difficult: "What is he achieving" and "Are his achievements in America's best interests?"

In fact, there's NO common sense nowdays. How unfortunately sad. I believe that he is a Muslim. I believe that he is a criminal. I believe that he doesn't tell the truth about everythin'. I believe that he is an evil doer. No wonder, it builds his ego, because he thinks it is okay to gain his power ....just because, he is a President and his background where he came from.

Off topic a little bit here: The Swine Flu -- it is all a lie. One of these days, he will make a new mandatory law for ALL to take vaccinations or they will put American citizens in jail, otherwise fine them. Same idea if, any one who refused to buy an insurance, they will fine them $ 1, 000 per day. Everythin' is talkin' about "ridiculous". It's all about the money and power. Tax every little thing from A to Z.

I am not paranoid or anythin'. It's just that I believe that he will "cause" all this things to happen to make American citizens more suffer. Lost their jobs, and many more.... Stimulate package means nothin'. It's all talks.

If swine flu was a lie, then Stephen Harper wouldn't be promoting the vaccines either, and he's a conservative-- he's even considered as Bush's "butt buddy."

Stimulus package was actually the Republicans' idea if you followed what Bush proposed to do before his term ended.

And what does him being a Muslim means anything? Even if he was one, it wouldn't means anything. Your forefathers fought for separation of Church and State, or everyone would be subjected to Puritans' rule. If you admire your forefathers so much, I would suggest taking their secular ideology to heart as well.

As for the religious comments, I think what they mean is that Church and State have separate buildings. If you think America would ever elect a non-Christian, send that pipe over to me. I could use the herbal refreshment. :giggle:

Countless documentations show no evidence of Obama being a Muslim and he said himself he's a Christian.

We're not taxed enough in my opinion, actually. As much as we hate taxes, we need them for higher standard of living. How do you think we'll be able to maintain and build our public use? Also, I am a firm believer in taxing "sin" products such as cigarettes, alcohol, and junk food because most of our health problems are related to our diet and it is significant enough to put a strain on our healthcare.

I think that would be the Republicans' defineation. My personal stand is that the State should not favor any regilious group be they Catholics, Quaker or Wiccans. If memory serves me correctly, many of the founding fathers were Diests.
