Why do people call America FREE when it's not?

What rights or freedoms do the people in the USA have that the rest of people in other countries do not have ?

American soldiers fighting for their freedoms and that they fought for their freedom of speech and all that.

So I want to know who they fought for that freedom or who tried to take that away ?

I also see a lot of answers by people in America saying that they have the freest country in the world.

What rights or freedoms do they have that people in the UK or in other countries do not have apart from the right to own a gun ?

Why we can't use a cell phone in a car? Why children can drink alcohol and smoke in Europe, but not in USA? Why we can't own a casino or play bingo without have to be for charity reasons? Why we have to wear seat belt?
Why we can't walk around naked outside? Why we need Gun control?
 
I know, I am getting sick of American bragging, about their freedom country!!!

American people had to wait till 21 to get their freedom life, where we are allow to drink earlier.

We are allow to carry beers and wines in the car, but it is illegal in USA as they MUST lock it up at the boot (truck).

Some criminals put to death in some states by law, in my country, we don't do that.

American will be label as sex predator for life if they are dating to any 16 years old girls.

All american boys aged 18 must draft with army registrar, we don't.

It is just silly myth about America's freedom.

Do you guys get free medical? Not have to pay hospital bills?
 
Yeah it's VERY myth that American was the freest country.. We, in the world, have varies of laws and it will never be a FREE law, we have to follow the law to take care of ourselves plus to protect ourselves. It seems like we, America, have too much of issue around our country that stop us from being alittle more free.

For those who are on low wages income, will get it free and some on great discount at any Public Hospitals and medical tablets like $2.90.

If they want Private Hospital, they will pay for it.

To have an operation, it is a long waiting list on public hospital about up to 8 months, private hospital give you one immediately.

Today Mothers will receive $4,133 as a bonus pay off from the Government for having a baby born in Australia plus child allowance payment thereafter. it will raise to $5,000 on 1st July 2008.

It will encourage many aussie teenagers to get pregnant because of this flash free Money and some give up their babies up for adopted and keep the money!!!

To solve "long waiting list", why not build more hospitals?

Well maybe need to change that "bonus pay off" law.

What about jobs? Do you guys have good economy? is it easy to
get job there? do they hired deaf people easily? No discrimination?
 
wow i ddnt know that mothers get bonus money just for having babies? dang! that encourage kids to have babies out of wedlock which i disagreed with... due to hiv, stds and etc.. not good idea.... dang...

and in some way we are free cuz we go where we want to.. no restrictions.. we can do whatever we want in privacy of our homes.. etc.. so in some ways i know laws are riduclous but it does help to protect us...

as for the health insurances.. whoever are poor do have mediciad and have surgery but dont wait up to 8 months.. we set the date whenever we are available to have the surgery.
 
We're free to have as many babies we want to as long we can afford them. IN china, they limit 2 kids per parents due to overpopulation and plus they're communists.

I always think about 1 child per family in china. One-child policy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Also, china is demand on genders too, they want male babies over female babies, how is sad about china, screw on them.
 
If USA is freedom then...

Homosexual marriage need to be legal in all states.

USA isn't freedom in general but there's federal controlled, not enough to make states to have rights to decide, plus there's some freedom on other side like Seq said about kids.

Can you care to explain what Ameri"K"a mean for English word? I am wondering because Amerika is a German word for America.
 
Every country has its pro and cons, really. ;) Freedom is subjective to anyone's intpretation I suppose. I do know this.. the world still has a lot of room for improvement, not just USA.

In Norway, women are given bonus money if they have babies before they are 30 years old... but I think it is because of the aging baby boomers, that need pensions.. and guess who pay these pensions? That's right, the younger generations. So, I assume that is the way it works in some countries.

I don't like that USA is all "hey, too bad" if you are between a hard place and rock when you need health care. A lot of limitations and flaws there and it makes a lot of people rich. I think human rights are universal, and health should be a priority and an investment for every government of the world.

I do like that there are people who are willing to make changes, and they are what makes America great. Now, I'm not saying "better" or "best".. well, just great.

Some women have babies out of wedlock anyway in USA.

Same thing in most countries.

They do have private hospitals. Some poor people in USA can't have
surgery at all because they can't afford it.
 
Because I don't want person with cell phone in car to kill me in car accident. Didn't you know that person act like a drunk person when he is in a car with cell phone?

I don't want to pay for someone that did not wear seat belt. Why should I have to pay for their mistakes?

Those are legal reasons which I accept in order to protect myself from their mistakes.

Same goes with children drinking or smoke. I don't want to pay for their medical bills because their brain or lung is being screwed up due to their body still growing.

It is more of common sense, a reasonable sacrifice for greater good.

At least we are not being killed for our religious or the way we looks. At least women are allowed to work and wear whatever she want without take a beat from man. At least we can chose our leader or fire him. At least every child whatever it's background is can go to school.

Deaf people are allowed to make a change in America unlike many countries. Not easy, I know but they are allowed to.

America is not perfect but we are allowed many things without fear of being killed or pay the price for.

Yeah I was victim of motorcycle accident at my 4th age and nearly lost my finger, even nearly killed me just because the old woman was drunk, then other 2 car accident at my 18th and 19th age just because of one old woman was drunk and other man was using the cell phone.

Now I feel anger of those old woman driving, which I was supposed to not be.

That is exactly why we have the rules to keep us safe from each other.
