Remember Geo Prizm hatchback?

I never knew that Suzuki Samurai was tiny and not wide enough.

Guess you had no idea, this Suzuki Samurai was famous for roll over, much much worse than Jeep Wrangler.

Here is link list of lawsuits and findings

Consumer Group Asks Recall Of Suzuki Samurai as Unsafe - NYTimes.com

Yes, there is reason to drive hard curve... ACCIDENT AVOIDANCE! Its harder to avoid accidents with Samurai than other SUV.

I remember frequent reading newspaper articles about this during their first years.

drive hard curve is not an accident avoidance... it's called sharp right turn, sharp left turn. you don't go on curve when you're avoiding something....

Why no mention of an iconic small sports car, the Honda CRX?

This was my high school car, what a blast that was. It may not have a 500 hp engine but it was so light you didn't need a lot of power to go fast. I loved the handling as well, it's real sharp and responsive. I wish honda still made them, well, they do have the CRZ or whatever it is but I'm just not impressed by it.

I drove that CR-X HF with manual. It was AWFUL slow.

I never said buy, I said try. :)

I was planning on going out with two friends Sunday to the Tesla dealership here in town and test driving one of those. I doubt they will let me take the Audi off the lot, might get lucky with the Subaru, but they always want to check out my car first and I still have 90% of what I own in it, and I don't want them messing around with my stuff.

I remember once, I wanted to test drive a Plymouth Prowler and the price on it wasn't very high and if I really liked it, I may have traded in for it. But the dealership refused to let me test drive it. Then again, all the times except twice when I went to a dealership to test drive a car, I was refused.

Only two cars (Except my current car) I was allowed to test drive were a Honda Fit and a Fiat 500.

Very bad dealer. One dealer won't let me test drive on Mustang Gts. Other dealer let me test drive on Subaru Sti, Chevy corvette, VW, etc.

I really want to try on Tesla and I heard it got great battery life than other electric cars and great performance. I hope it will drop the price down in the future.

The dealer I went to for the Honda had my financial information ahead of time, they told me how much it was going to cost, and said they had the papers ready in case I wanted the car after the test drive. I found out after the test drive, they lied outright and made me sit there all day and I left with the car I came there with.

The other dealer I mentioned just refused to let me take the car I was considering out (Plymouth Prowler), but my friend has money in the bank, so if they question her, she has the money to back up herself. We want to take the 122k Tesla out on a test drive. Being a girl that is so into cars, I want to take the helm.

It's a shame most motorcycle dealers won't let people test ride sport bikes because I really want to upgrade to a ZX6 when I finally find a job.

yuck but I do think this one is awesome

I owned a 1987 Sammi Tin Top... the most awesome car I ever had... and I want another one !!!! They will stay running underwater with a snorkle if you dont kill the motor and are completely water proof.

Only if you enjoy flipping while driving hard curve. I remember serious recall for this one.

I drove mine HARD, I was in my 20's and it never even tried to flip once... I even spun out on a backroad 2 lane highway and never once tried to tip up ( was in a snowstorm 90-93?) but was the fun-ist car I ever owned.

I am sorry, yes it is sport vehicle! Don't forget SUV stands for Sport Utility Vehicle. I remember vividly when this vehicle came out of factory as introductory, a year later, there have been several news about this vehicle ranked as worst rollover vehicle, end up sold to GM, rename it to Geo Tracker, and it STILL was a SHYT!

Don't believe me? Ask your best friend... Google!

its all true because of the high center of gravity, but if you know how to handle a 4x4 then no issues as I did drive alot of 4x4s and these sammies would climb a brick wall if you could get it to stay on it...lol I was in a sammuri club with my sammie and its amazing what you can do with these things. sold mine when the motor and trans started to go, now I wish I kept it and swapped a 350 into it... I was young and didnt know much about motor swaps yet....damnit.

and funny you post about Geo Prisms... I remember them well, My first girlfriend from childhood who was also my first fiance cheated on me with her brothers friend who had a prism, long story short, he was a wussy, they came by to start some trouble when i was cleaning out the apartment (that was in my name) well he took off and left her stranded ( as I was on my way out the door to give him a beat down...lol) he never came back and she had to call her cousin for a ride... from a payphone... blocks away...lol. I told her, some boyfriend she has now. wow

Despite all the warnings/recalls etc, I still miss my Tracker and would love to have another one (pre 1994). I don't really like what they did to it.
