When you were little girl or boy, What did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was little girl. I really want to have 12 children and become a school teachers. Also, I want to be Bewitched when I become a woman.

Look at now, I work for Government, have two children and no magic for me. :(
 
When I was a boy, I wanted to be a pilot of an airline and fly everywhere on this planet to visit different places. I also wanted to have houses in different countries so that I would have places to live everywhere and save on a lot of money on hotel charges. Now, I am glad I am not a pilot, but I still want houses in other countries!!!

I'm an ASL Lab tutor now, and I unexpectedly moved to Utah. It's fun!
 
I grew up wanting to be involved in the movies and backstage of theatre...or a Vet.
I'm neither. :roll: Developed a bad case of stage fright so decided acting wasn't for me! :lol: As for the career as a vet...it'd be nice, but it would be too heart rending seeing all the animals suffering and all. I'd rather not be involved in that section of specialisation. Taking care of animals on a farm as a hobby would be nice!

Have been working 10+ years in the disability field...currently in between jobs. :)
 
I used to saying "I wanna grown up when I gonna be TEACHER.

Until Now.. Im not become Teacher.. Currently I'm breeder of Bulldogs and work Assembly Line at Formet Ltd. (for Truck Frames and parts suppliers only)

yeah there was no magic 4 me too.. ((chuckles)) :laugh2:
 
a cop thats all i wanted to be or become a flygirl for the airforce

now life isn't fair and i have to depend on my brains to get a good job
 
I ever not remmy what I wanted to be when I was kid but I know I would like to be cop or superheroes. Now I am data processor and no super yet. :D
 
When I was a little girl.. I always knew I wanted to be both a Mommy and a teacher. Being maternal and teaching came to me as second nature, I love kids as if they are my own! :grouphug: :GROUPHUG!:
 
I wanted to be a waitress...weird strange but true.
In high school I wanted to be the theatre critic for the NY Times..I love Broadway (both musicals and straight drama) and that way I'd get to see all the shows for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I either want to be a Teacher of the Deaf (on the other hand if I was an iteinerant TOD I'd be trying to recruit the oral deaf and hoh kids to ASL and Deaf Culture:laugh2:) or a Women's Studies Professor!
 
I wanted to teach English to deaf kids in Deaf schools or mainstream. Many of my friends lack the kind of English comprehension and writing skills they need to have in order to live a little more successfully. But that changed when I entered high school, teacher's have too much crap and too much paper work.

I currently work in retail, at a shop that sells beads. I process and package them, among other things. I love my job, but its not forever. My heart is in graphic design now :)
 
As a little girl... I wanted to be a successful actress/model. I was always a "princess" growing up... spoiled rotten.. hehe.

I never thought myself to become a mother... didn't like the thought of the whole birth process (traumatic!). Rather adopted tons of animals and take care of them as my own... and oh yeah, I remember I wanted to live in a pentahouse and have the occasional guy in my life,.. and if things screw up, I get to kick him out! Hehe... yup, that was me growing up.

Now I'm in between college and career... a LONG transition... I may move to Europe where I hope to get into education as well as the travel industry (tour guide, planner?).
 
when i was a little boy i wanted to become a doctor and have NO kids..

Now i'm studing accountant and have 1 kid :-/
 
When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a rich heiress back in the 1800s where I get to live comfortably in a english country manison and own several horses. I've always fantansized myself all dressed in a victorian dress and living in a world where there is no technology nor electricial. Now I'm a student majoring in Human Sociology and I heart to go antique shopping! Nope, I'm not a heiress. Darn.
 
when i was a little girl i wanted to be a cop, but that didn't happen. but also i wanted to work with poeple, now seems is happening so one part of my dreams came true, and the last thing i wanted when i was a teen, wanted to be helping my family and here i am 31 yrs later doing just that! :)
 
I wanted to be a private investigator when I was younger, but I knew that it did not happen to me. However, right now, I am still in college trying to complete the courses, then get MS degree and get out of SF.

Investigating is my hobby now.

Now i am 17, and i chopped off 14inches of my hair and i am a freshman in a college, getting BA first then if time and money permits, will get a MFA. ;) I was a very realistic child. I already knew about Gally by age 7 and i was debating wtih my mom about whether to go to Gally or stay in SD for local college by age 10. lmao, people thought i would be a lawyer when i was young. Majoring in arts certainly shocked people because they thought i have so much "potential".... hmph i guess so many people don't understand the logical of choosing a "job" that you WANT to work and ENJOY.. i wont enjoy Law or anything else.

When I was young, I wanted to be a doctor... it didn't work out because my teachers told me I was not good enough at maths to do it. This year, I did about a semester of Bachelor of Arts, but I dropped out because I decided that uni was not for me. I still don't know what I want to do. I used to want to be a teacher to help other deaf people but I realised I'm not good with kids. So, I have yet to decide what my future will be! :)

Obviously, you watch Peter Forlk detective show on TV too much. :lol:

I would love to be criminal investigator too. It is very challenge when I worked at I.R.S.
