Has anyone here seen the movie " House Of Wax " yet?...I've watched it tonight with Roadrunner, he rented that movie, and it was scary as hell :shock: ....If anyone is planning on watching that movie, make sure you have someone sitting next to you... :Ohno:
 
We've seen "House of Wax" on Thursday and last night we saw "High Tension" and "Shallow Ground".

If it's scary as hell then I'm not watching it. :Ohno:
 
I saw the original "House of Wax" made in 1953. :)

Have you seen the re-made "House of Wax" movie? Chris comments that the original is much more scarier as Vincent Price contributed to the movie quite efficiently.

I have noticed that nowadays we are quite desensitized to blood & gore and some movies do quite glorify bloodbaths whereas movies back then truly freaked people outta their skins by using sound effects ie gloomy music. :Ohno: Take the movie "Psycho" and you practically clutch your seat because of the booming music and the black & white background is best to truly emphasize the blood. (which was limited)

"High Tension", it is not for someone that is that gets sick to their stomach and it's not something I highly recommend that gets scared easily. Luckily I had Chris with me and we were shaking our heads at the gore and the movie even had necrophilia!! :ugh:

"Shallow Ground", put it this way.. after watching the movie, I cant wait for Halloween to be over!! Too much horror movies!! :Ohno:

Last night when I went to Wal-Mart, I was planning to buy a movie - "House of Wax" but I changed my mind because I don't know if its good scary or not. I probably will just rent one instead of buy one.

The movie wasn't scary. I just think people don't know how to make horror movies anymore.

Honestly, it's not about the gore. It's the suspense.

It may not be too scary for you but for some women hell yeah!...

The only part I dislike is the begining where they tired their son up in a high chair....That made me mad!!...

Yes, that part I disliked because it was a comparison of twins.. good vs evil.

If you thought that was bad, try "High Tension". :Ohno: Nothing worse than a bipolar & MPD chick running after another chick with a machine saw that's she's uber-obsessed with. Ay dios mios!!!
 
I bought House of Wax from Super Target that where I work at... this movie of "House of Wax" is great!!! but Reba said another movie House of Wax made in 1953... I thinking about rent or buy that movie 1953 :)
