AD Caucus: Place/Dates

Well. Well. Looks like majority rules.

The AD Caucus will take place on July 21-23, 2006.

Now a poll is already up in place to find out what you want at the Caucus.

FYI, it will take place in St. Louis, Missouri.

A.K.A. The Gateway to the West

I had already outlined a rough plan - it is as follows:

Friday morning through afternoon - Registration

Friday evening - Social Hour with "e"aministrator Reception...
~ Cash Bar ~

Saturday morning - AD Lecture with Alex and MODS (1 - 2 hrs)

Saturday all day - Sightseeing around StL/AD members meeting

Saturday evening - Banquet with Party afterwards

Sunday morning - Breakfast Social and Good bye...*sob*

Sunday - all go home...leaving StL in a shambles. Alex and the MODS start their clean up duties at noon.

If there are any money left over from paying for the hotel and all that, it will be donated towards the upkeep of AllDeaf.

Remember this is not a final plan - it is still being worked out.

Where closer to airport terminal or GreyHound Bus station ?

AD'ers who live extact this area.. who willing giving anyone who can shelter your place would be great for sharing chi-chat or wha..ever..
I would love to join tourist w/someone who live that area? I love sightseeing.. :)
Doesn't want lost!! I'm bad ha ha.. kidding.. btw would be great handy w/me.. :)
Who want share driving long hit the road travelling to St. Louis, Missouri.
from Michigan? I would love to join w/you along travelling.. Happy to pay you GAS share!!! Would be great apperactied... Depend who AD'ers willing..

That looks like a good planner for the event.. :thumb: I am wondering will there be name tags for us to wear so we know who is whom? :ily:


And Saturday evening - Banquet with Party afterwards<<< Will there be a special tables with names on the table where we will be sitting at? or we can sit anywhere we want? Sorry if it's a stupid question.... :mrgreen:

oh yea good idea abt name tags or u know what i talk abt backstage name put necklace i forget what call.. oh man..
 
Yes, we will have name tags - they will be like this:

Missy
(DreamDeaf)

so yours would be like

Cheri
(Cheri)

and it will be wherever you wanna sit - no planned seating.

There are no stupid questions - I feel that if you ask questions, you are showing an interest. That pleases me a lot.

Thanks.... :Oops: Are everyone staying at one hotel or would there be two hotels close by together?

The hotel (I hope) would be across from Lambert St. Louis International Airport, and they do have a Greyhound bus station there too.

Im not sure of who else lives in St. Louis, because at this time, the only ADers I know living here are MizzDeaf and me.

We will have sightseeing opps too!!!

Glad youre thinking of coming to AD Caucus, too!!!

There is a location where there are several hotels/motels close together, I am going to try for St. Louis Airport Marriott Hotel or one of the other major hotels in that area.
 
The plans look cool to me, sounds like alot of fun too! ;)

YAY.. I'm going St Louis,Missouri... On July 21-23rd.. Purrrfect.. My hubby let me go and have fun trip in usa.. as for Mommy's break. *woOoOo* I'm so happy.. and trilled to meeting AD'ers..
btw, will find it out who willing driving around thru states.. I'll be happy to go MICH and who will pick me up at MICH at GreyHound Bus line. Whoever live in MICHIGAN and would b happy to meet me? I would be thrilled happy share w/you gas trip.. :) I love travelling different states... :) Let me know who interested?

Yeah, me2.. I was all hoping it could be great for 2005 which it purfect... If not.. so means 2006... Pretty long way... (chuckles)

No I mean ADers get confused about plan in 2005. I am telling you to remind it is for 2006! I am working with DD. :)

We already did have a vote on it - we decided on Summer 2006, then voted on the months, then on the weekend itself.

It gives me time to plan it - if its for this year, it will not be as good cuz it means it will be in a hurry and I dont want to mess it up.

I would love to go and Meet other Ad'ers...

Since Some of us may want drive, Im willing to pitch in with my vehicle, Unsure what kind of vehicle we will get this Summer I want to get SUV because of Where we will move to Maine, so If we gonna live on rural area, Im gonna need a good safe vehicle in snow! :D

So anyhow, I will make sure I save up some $$ and pitch in with transportations/hotels/foods

Besure to let me know which hotels and The plans for the banquest whatever you call it LOL

I m sorry I didn't vote much because I have been totally busy but I can "trust" everyone's decision on voting on where to go etc and I can always make sure I get July 21-23, 2006 PLANNED up for meeting ADers!
