NASA free channel, for DirecTV subscribers, that is channel #376 Other providers, I don't know their channels. I refused to subscribe CableTV!
 
I rather have a big rock hit earth, than pebbles of little rocks hit earth,
cause one piece of rocks might fall on my head. :shock:

It was an experiment to find out more about what comets were like on the inside. We still really don't know what's inside them to the best of our knowledge, though we have made some really good guesses.

This is the FIRST TIME we have been able to connect something made on Earth with a comet. We sent a small science probe with equipment to SLAM into the comet and create a "small" crater ("small" as in "only a football field size" crater. The comet is huge!) and study what comes out of that crater.
 
I saw it on TV. Very interesting. It is amazing how we can see something happen many millions of miles away.

It was also funny to watch the scientists celebrate. I love to watch geek engineers celebrate. Poor guys can't even jump up and down, and applaude with rhythm, he, he. (BTW, I love and respect scientists and engineers; they just need to stay away from dance floors and TV cameras. ;) )

wow! I'm watching NASA channel on the video player on my computer. :) Interesting, it was pretty bright explosion when it hit the comet. 83 million miles is a long journey from earth to the comet, and that took 7 months.
 
It's amazing how they calculated everything that far away. It's like shooting an ant with a needle from New York to Japan!

Actually, GOD is the only one who controls the earth! Not Scientists or anyone...God uses scientists to have ability to do something about it..but God is in control...He can make things happen..:)
 
OH Bull!!!! GOD has nothing to do with this.If GOD was the case he would have grant me a girl i prayed so often for.If GOD was the case i might have heard out of my hearing aid again.

Good concept or perspective viewpoint to comprehend the magnitude of this event....btw, are you sure you're not speakin' of "Antz" as an example??? heh heh.... ;)
