Disgrace !!!!

The fact that someone on the helicopter mentioned it to him makes me suspect it might be something that happens often enough that they are watching for it.

I believe it depends on the situation.

I believe you're wrong , I have seen Obama step off the plane and walk right pass a solider and not salute him and Obama has done this more than one time. I this is a disgrace and embarrassment that Obama does not know act like our president . He is Commander in Chief and should always salute
a solider back out of respect .

Yes , this happen a few times , I have seen Obama walk by and not salute a solider at least 3 times and I get pissed off !

The President of the United States is a civilian. He is not a member of the US Military and is therefore not entitled to salute. The military salute is a privilege earned by honorable service in the military. It is also a privilege that can be taken away. Military prisoners are stripped of the privilege of saluting. While the President is Constitutionally the CINC, he is not a member of the military.

As I said, it depends on the situation. Military personal have rules on when it is required(if you are outdoors, etc).

An interesting part of the above article is whether the president should not salute as a symbol of our civilian run military.

I think that is a very good point. And, although I like the idea of the salute, perhaps we should enforce it.

This also sheds light on his treatment of veterans with the VA Scandal, cutting of their benefits of our military and veterans, closure of veteran memorials, and chewing gum during the 70th Anniversary ceremony of D-Day.

lol what? let's not forget that several Republicans voted to not in favor of veteran benefits.
