See i knew it!!! On CBS news they showed teens in a classroom learning basic driving rules on the roads. And who pays for this? TAXPAYERS!!! See it cost me $35 frigging bucks for each lesson. So why dont the IRS pay for adults too who want to learn to drive. There is no link. For those living in the west coast watch CBS evening news and watch the story.

I checked CBS news and don't see any story on it. I know when I went to driving school, I PAID. Are you sure you understood it correctly??

Not in CA, we paid 200 dollars for the driving class for our kids. Schools around here does not provide the classes.

Jazzy turn onm your local CBS tonight and watch the cbs even news and theyre show you a full classroom full of teens in a public school. I know this for a fact use of any school property requires a teacher and funding from your local sales tax or state income tax if state has an income tax. Here in florida everytime i go to mc donalds,K-Mart or a gas station im paying for schools.

Having in the school doesn't mean that the kids aren't paying for it. Mine was held in my school after hours. I had to pay for it. It was just easier in my town to have it in the school after school.

Well im paying for all sorts after school programs, Including music concert bands and sporting events. Thats why i agree with the republicans. Abolish public education and go with private cooperate education. So the parents pay for it. ITS called A BILL!!!!! Not by buying gasolene or buying a big mac to pay for this.

Steve, what about families who CAN'T pay?? Remember, todays kids are our country's future leaders. We should provide them with the BEST education that we can!

:gives: I am glad that my parents taught me how to drive  --- save money! :-p

:bump: RSteve! :Ohno: OOPS he's in sewer along with idiots!

*has the urge to strangle ravensteve*

I am a bloody teenager, and I drive! I don't pay for my driving lessons, since my partner teaches me how to drive, but I do pay for fuel, matienence, registeration, etc!

All of the tax that comes out of everyone's pay goes towards things such as education, water, government, and everything else to keep a country running smoothly.

So stop your bloody whinging, and get a grip!

Then you go to jail! Just like if you cant pay the IRS you go to jail.
Put people to jail who can't afford to send their kids to a private school. Alice (or steve), You're not in wonderland anymore. WAKE UP!

I paid only $15 to get drivers license when I was 19 years old. I didn't even pay anything for drivers ed class at my school, the state pays for it. I went to DMV to get a drivers test and got the license. :D Don't forget that in Germany, u have to pay $2,000 or more for drivers ed include with denfense driving course. It is expensive to get drivers license in Europe in general. Don't complain about it, we have it dirt cheap compared to Europe, :P

If you strangle him and the police question me, i'll tell them he fell on a telephone wire for you.....go for it!

I paid for my driving lessons at school.

Oh and ravensteve, i dont know how much more dumber YOU could get if we didnt have public school systems, thank god.

Not here, I told you already. Schools here does not provide those classes cuz in state of CA is broke and only spend $$$$ on necessary so no drivng ed classes and many others programs. I had to pay 200 dollars for private driving class when my son was 15. Last time I check, they still do not offer those classes.

Raven you remind me of the Sherif of Nottingham (Robin Hood). Threw whole family in jail for faliure to pay taxes. I don't think anyone deserves that. Ravensteve is another Prince John

That is, without a doubt, one of the most ridiculous statements I have ever heard. Throw parents in jail for not being able to afford private school? Half of America would be in jail and you’d be paying to keep them in prison, for their food, exercise, clothing, etc. Then you could really complain about taxes when you have to give up most of your income to support the inmates who simply wanted a normal, happy life but are now in prison because idiots can’t do the math before they make stupid laws. Are you sure that’s what you really want?

Exactly!!!!

I paid 3,500.00 Deutsche Mark ($ 2,360) for 3 weeks driving lesson in 1992. I also pay extra for "Question and Answer" driving form, too. If I pass question and answer driving test form then take driving test..... I wont have driving test unless I pass question and answer test form. I pass both tests then got driving liescne at last. But But But now??????? Maybe double price $4,000??????

I was shock when I read this whole thread here. Driving lesson in America is terrible CHEAP!!!!! wow!

It sounds that it's legal for parents to teach their children driving lesson in America. Right? Here in Germany is illegal! :ugh: I would get in trouble when police see me teach my children driving lesson.
