I did read Cloggy's posts in here and also in other topics of AD... He brought bible in here,,,, as you and I know that Bible has nothing to do with deafness... I dont know if you believe in Bible... as for me i am agnostic.. I used to be a christian and taught Sunday school in the church,, as i read Bible all the times ,, that changed me alot,,, now i am agnostic,,, anyone in here making posts should keep Bible out of this topic,,,
Thanks!!!

Right!! there is no need to bring the bible in here with this topic and I do
know that if CIs were a "perfect" solution everyone would have on that was deaf or became deaf late in life. CIs are not the "size fits all for everyone that is deaf" I would like to tell people that say that to be quiet!! LOOK!! A lot of people dont benefit from CIs and never will at any point. CIs have there pros and cons too. I can state directly 5 pros and 5 cons of CIs and I am not afraid to at all to do this. We all have our own opinions on CIs and why fight on our opinions when we all have different aspects of it. I refused a CI due to many reasons. My reasons were pain, having surgery every 3 years, relearning to talk, a ton of tests (ie blood tests, CT scans, MRIs, hearing tests) I am very sensitive to pain at all cost(I can bare a certain amount but not a great deal of it) and trust me I deal with pain almost everyday its not fun. If you want my pros and cons then fine I'll share here and NOW. And if my words are pulled out of contents I will be mad.
Pros:
1 Helps pick up sounds
2 Gives a chance to live in
the hearing world
3 Helps us in school
4 Has a lot of good replacements
for awhile and it has a good cost
5 I am happy it does help me a lot
and I love the benefits that are
given to me by it.
Cons:
1 Doesn't pick up all the sounds that are
needed to be heard
2 May not fully benefit us at all in the
ways we want it to for us.
3 May not be a good thing to have
because we'd have to take it off when
when the weather rains or snows.
There you are my pros and cons on CIs!!
4 Good cost and replacements?? That is
too much money at all costs!! I just lost
$ 2,500 -$3,000 on all this and it needs
more in surgeries and all. No Way!!
5 I am sad, angry and not satisfied I
want it removed as soon as I can get
it out because its doing zipp-o for me.
I have pros and cons on HAs too!!
Pros:
1 picks up sound
2 its great for $3,000 - I can
hear and it makes my life a
whole lot easier with my own
deafness
3 I can pick colors for the mold
I really can be known that I am
still not able to fully hear but this
world is better than my deaf one
4 Wow I only need to replace a
not much cool
5 Cool!! I am in the hearing
world, so bye bye deaf culture
and society and yes!! I can use
my voice and still sign if I want
but after all I am a hearie now
Cons:
1 I cant hear everything but I hear a little with it
2 $3,000 - no thank you I'll keep the
money and the same way I am now with
being deaf
3 I appreciate my deaf world and now
places a device in my ear will really nearly
force me away from my deaf world at all
costs and I'll cry if it does because I dont
want a new world
4 Replacements needed!! Oh man it will be
a fortune spent on all this stuff
5 I got to leave deaf culture and society?
No!!!! I want to stay here with the
quietness and the fun of signing
THINK on my posts here be4 replying!! I mean I really am pointingout the truth here. Also I really have had the HA pros and cons a ton throughout my abusive growing up.
