I do not support death penalty but 30 years to life sentence.

With his only 3 years in jail, he will be more likely sexual abuse again when he gets out of jail.

Hearing this from a Christian is a bit surprising. Doesn't it say in your bible "Thou Shalt Not Kill"?CyberRed said:Only 3 years in prison ? That's NOT enough. Out for weekends??!!!!!! Are you saying that German convicts get out on weekends to visit family, friends, etc. without a police escort? I have a hard time understanding that.
Many prisoners have sentences reduced for good behavior.
That's why I said 30 years without parole for this crime. If he EVER gets out, he'll be to f***g old to think about sex/molesting another child.
Yes you understood correct... I think after few years prison until they see their good behavior then will have 21 days detention vacation a year.

I would be furious to think that a convicted felon would get up to three weeks a year on the outside to do as he pleases and this not be brought up to the jury sentencing him. Anyone involved in a violent crime should stay locked up until their sentence is finished. The safety of law-biding citizens trumps the 'rights' of prisoners.
Where is Taylor? I would love to see his take on all of this.

I do not know which friends you were referring to. It was just that I was a bit surprised to see you talk about supporting death penalty because I have seen the way you preach to others in here about the bible so I assumed you were against death penalty.CyberRed said:Well, look at your christian friends doin' in Pensiruim ( sp ? - what ever ) and posted things in there hmm ? And, you didn't say anythin' about it eh ? The bible says do not commit adultery... rings a bell huh ? So quit judgin'.

I haven't attacked her at all. All I was doing was speaking out my opinions if I disagree with anyone's posts. She is not the only one I have disagreed with. There are some others that I have disagreed with but they don't take it too personally with me. Oh boy I guess CR is too sensitive huh?Oceanbreeze said:BFG, I don't know what your beef is with Cyber Red, but it's starting to become obvious that you're trying to draw her into a debate for the sole purpose of creating discord. It's really getting annoying to those of us not involved. If you have a disagreement with her, please take it private and settle it, so this thread doesn't get trashed.
The problem is, a "life sentence" in Germany doesn't really mean the offender will be locked up for life.Liebling:-))) said:I do not support death penalty but 30 years to life sentence.
The Bible says that individuals should not murder each other. That is NOT the same as legally processed capital punishment.ButterflyGirl said:... Doesn't it say in your bible "Thou Shalt Not Kill"?
That makes sense.Reba said:The Bible says that individuals should not murder each other. That is NOT the same as legally processed capital punishment.
