It’s not a light. :roll: It’s just a red dot which indicates that the safety is off. :slap:

Well..nobody got it for me...I got it for myself...I had been saving some money for awhile so when my birthday came around, I could get something...and this is the something that I wanted. We are required to carry off-duty anyhow, and our on-duty weapons are too big to carry concealed so I wanted something smaller......

As Levonian pointed out, that shows the safety in the off position.

Levonian, its a Beretta 9000s 9mm (they also make a .40). People seem to be picky about this model...either they really love it or they really hate it. It shoots good, is very accurate and it fits my hand perfectly. Its a little large for concealed but its better than our service weapon.

Me, for one. As a present to myself when I finish graduate school, I will be buying myself one of these, or a very similar rifle chambered in .308. And Mrs. Chimp can give me the sweet little Leupold scope to go with it, if she’s so inclined. :kiss:

I’m as serious as a heart attack. I’ve been wanting one of those for YEARS, and I think it’s just the motivation I need to get off my ass and start carrying a full semester load.

Mostly for long range plinking. But in the (probably) unlikely event that I ever have need for a sniper rifle, it will suffice quite nicely. :)

If criminals are stupid enough to come to my door, I have a nine round Mossberg that I reserve for that purpose.

Well have to chat about the mossberg sometime...I've been looking at those as well. My primary concern here was a back-up secondary weapon. Shotgun would be nice for the house, especially since I live in an apartment.
