Can parents allow the kids to play video games ?

for me when if I have a kids that I will not allow them to use dangerous game like gun, fight, etc only I can allow like pac-man, mario, crush, sypro, something easy not like army, race car, something dangerous cause I dont want them get into dangerous in real life. Hope you understand what I mean :) ;)

:applause: I think it is the parents job. It is not only games, but tv/movies too.

Yes I allow my son to play depend on what kind of games he could play like mario, cubes, bouncing etcs but not killings as dangerous.

i have alot of **hard** games that wouldn't fit sean's but i put separtare games in his bedroom that he can use **easy** games.. he mostly like to play Sonic, he's good at it. when he ask me for Sim.. i would simply no he would get mad i will have to explain to sean that this isn't for you this is for mom to play when your older and i will considering, he understand.

Yeah same way as my son, Zach when i said no he can't play with Sim and he got real pissed off and slam the door in his bedroom. I let him get that until he cool out.

You just can recommand to follows ESRB that your son can play on based his age but some of "Teen" that contains gun, weapon, first person shoot and street car racing but "Mature" is much more advanced so when your son is 17 years old so he can play M-rated games.

Sims is just Teen rated game but no problem for any teenagers.

I let my children play games, and before you buy or rent games, check at the bottom of each game it will show you the rated of each game if it say E that for any ages, T for teenager, M it's for Mature 17 and up, there are some M games I allowed my 15 years old to play, it's really depends on how bloody it is.....
