I know some of you will insist it's a choice. Before you make such a risky choice, please be fully informed. Most women making that choice were unaware of how risky it was. The majority of women upon learning about the risks decide their health is far more important than a bigger bust. Besides big breasts are pounds of dead weight you constantly carry around and they cause back pain, aches, make it hard to run and get in your way.

Besides, it should be known that women can safely and instantly get bigger breasts by wearing stuffed/padded bras. Another option(as ive learned in an article) is put some weight on your skinny frame. Youll not only look better being at a healthy weight or even a tad full figured but your breasts are likley to grow larger since they are made mostly of fat.

Above all, simply accept your small breasts. They are normal and do not need to be corrected. You can be beautiful in so many ways inside and out. Most men don't like oversized or fake breasts anyway. You will attract the wrong kind of men who are attracted to your breasts instead of your personality. Nice men like me don't care at all for breasts and simply ignore them. We admire women for their personality and intelligence above looks. :D

If you still have questions after reading the articles and stories, post it here. Don't be rude or I won't answer. I will post my comments below each link.

My Implant Story

26 year old female wasn't informed of her choice. Her lack of research into the risks created a false sense of safety she later regrets. She would never made the choice had she known the risks she learned the hard way.

Breast Implants

35 year old woman admits she made the worst decision of her life. She has pics of her explant. You can see millions to billions of bacteria in the cloudy solution. They form visible clumps of thousands to millions of bacteria.

Could saline implants–hardening, leaking, deflating and turning black with fungus–be making women desperately ill? Former implant recipient Kathryn Gordon thinks so, and a growing number of doctors agree. Glamour investigates.

Shari's Life After Saline Implants

Beautiful 25 year old woman ruins her health as well as her son's health. She says breast feeding while she still had her implants in spread the bacteria. Her bad choice harmed an innocent person. She shares her eye opening story and posts a picture of her explants which are full of mold and bacteria inside and outside the capsules.

Two NIH Studies and Concerns on Silicone/Saline Implants

Women who have breast implants are more likely to die from brain tumors, lung cancer, other respiratory diseases, and suicide compared to other plastic surgery patients, according to a comprehensive new study. Women with implants are also more likely to develop cancer compared to other women their age, according to a second study.

Deaths from brain cancer were twice as likely among implant patients. Cognitive problems and memory loss are frequent complaints of women with breast implants, most of whom are in their twenties and thirties, and therefore surprisingly young for these types of problems. PET scans have indicated brain abnormalities can decrease when implants are removed.

The high rate of suicide could potentially be related to low self-esteem, which has been noted among women who decide to get implants. Breast implant manufacturers claim that implants improve women's self-esteem, but there is no long-term evidence to support that assumption. Psychologists have questioned the wisdom of treating low self-esteem with plastic surgery.

That's upsetting!!
Really unbelieavable. I personally do not like implanted breast, they hardly look natural. Nevertheless, it must be said it's a matter of personal taste.
It is absolutely true that it is a risky surgery. Any surgery has its own risks, the point here is that breast implantation cannot be considered as necessary. Anyway it must also be said that there are some cases where it could have a sense, such as after breast removal for a tumor...

It is clear that it is quite a common surgery, several plastic surgeon do it routinely, because it can be very lucrative and more and more women are deciding to go for it. With so many cases it is clear that also a small percentage of risk can generate a remarkable number of failures. It could also be connected to the quality of surgery, of the institution where it is performed, on the surgeon himself.
Since the demand is high, the offer can be extremely differentiated. The same surgery can cost 20 to 100K dollars... This should force people to think carefully...

My idea is that, since the risks are evaluated, statistics are available, people can make their own decision. They must be WELL INFORMED. I would not go for it for sure (well I am a man, that's why probably...), but it is pretty clear that for some women the size of the boops can be the difference about being someone or being nobody. Very sad but true. Several TV-girls come in my mind... Can this couterbalance the risk? It strongly depends on the personal values and lifestyle, but I think it is not too difficult to answer yes.

Radiologists hate breast implants because it limits their ability to fully diagnose mammograms.

It may not be a good idea to get breast implants after breast cancer because cancer may come back undetected. Some women choose to leave their breasts as is after mastectomy for this reason. You can see educational pics at:

Cancer Vacation - Breast Cancer Surgical Photos, Lab Results, & Journals

Don't look if you're squimish!

The photos are educational and intended to help women with breast cancer to know what to expect. This woman is going to have "reconstruction." Obviously, it's a very personal decision. I don't judge this woman for this decision because every woman has to make the best decision for herself. I think that she's a beautiful woman either way.

Ever see the movie Breast Men? The whole movie is about breast implants.

Chick: Hey check out my new boobs!

Dude: Wow, they look nice! *Poke! Poke!* *POP!*

Chick: WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Much later.....

Doctor: I'm sorry ma'am, but you have breast cancer.

Chick: WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

As Forrest Gump often says, "Stupid is what stupid does."

I like natural boobs, my wife's is just fine! :naughty:

I just spent an hour reading the stories on the websites. I don't mind the look of fake breasts as long as they're not too over-sized. But after reading what happened to those women, I wouldn't want women to risk their health over a cosmetic operation.

there are risks in every surgery. I have breast implants and new saline and new silicone is a lot different now than it was before. A lot safer and for a breast implant to pop it takes a lot of force or pressure they undergo ALOTTTTT of testing.. And mostly when there is bacteria and an infection it's the surgeon fault cuz of cross contamination r something not cuz of the implant itself.

You're right on all counts, Alicia. On the bacterial issue, anything placed into the body is sterilized before it is placed inside. So, Alicia is right. Also, there is risk of infection any time the body is opened. To combat this, surgeons will order a course of antibiotics for the woman post-op.

LOL@Yizuman. :laugh2:

My mom had knee replacement surgery and the dr gave her a super strong antibiotic in IV before she ever when into surgery. They probably do something similar for breast implants.

Don't mind as long as they are proportional to her frame and all health risks are covered. Bacteria are notorious little son of a bucks for being found even in the operating room (you'd have to nuke everything, especially the surgeon and nurses for a true sterilized environment - not really convenient). Anti-biotics and intravenous potassium chloride are necessary for prevention, and disinfection if necessary. So girls, if you got them, flaunt them! Obviously, you didn't get them for a larger lactation capacity!

Yes ..alot of doctors do things to prevent infection..My dr was the ONLY person to handle the implants other than the manufacturer and he changed his gloves 3 times during surgery to not cross contaminate and i was on an antibiotic after surgery as well as the incisions being stitched AND glued to prevent infection

Also...if u want to be accurate maybe get more up to date info! All this stuff happened before newer implants were introduced onto the market 2 of these articles were from 96 when they got their implants done ..thats 13 years ago! ALOT has changed since then and another from 2000 soo....if u want maybe u shud research more carefully..i did and there are definitely not as many risks as before
