Last month, my mom made mini pigs-in-blankets using mini smoked sausages... and they were delicious. That's how they're normally made and served.

Well, I decided to try something new. I had bought a pack of cheese sausages for myself a few days earlier and after thinking about what my mom made, I decided to try something different.

So, I made it differently...

Here are the ingredients that I used:

  • Hillshire Farm Cheddar Wurst (one 6-pack)
  • Pillsbury Crescent Big & Buttery (2 cans)

They are best when refrigerated instead of frozen. :)

First, you cut each sausage in half vertically... then in half again horizontally. One sausage makes 4 pieces.

Next, you open the cans of the crescent rolls. Upon opening each can, you will unroll 6 pre-cut triangle pieces. Cut each triangle in half. This makes 12 pieces.

Roll each sausage piece in each triangle piece. Make sure you roll them so that the flat side of the sausage pieces are face-down. This helps make the chicken curl upwards without breaking the dough during the cooking process.

Place each on a pan with at least an inch space between. A good-sized cookie sheet with non-stick foil does the trick for 12 pieces.

Preheat the oven at 350 degrees.

Place in oven on middle rack.

Let it cook for approximately 19 to 22 minutes... until top becomes golden brown.

When done, it will look like little babies wrapped up in blankets... ENJOY!
