I started to feel that my fever come soon as I was at Thanksgiving dinner last Wednesday. My body was freezing... and my eyes are sore... I went straight to Fitness Studio after work to have sauna to keep my freezing body warm...

Honestly, I really feel goooooodddddd when I was in sauna... it keep my body warm and make me feel sleep... I fall sleep in sauna... I woke up and realized that I was in sauna for over 40 minutes... :eek3: so I got out of sauna and notice that I feel really goooodddd... Normally I should go to shower to cool me down but I don't want because I want to keep my body warm... I lied for a while until I noticed that my body begin to freeze again so I went back to sauna... It was 3 times for over 2 hours then I noticed that "coming soon fever" is GONE... thank God...

I went back to home to have a large hot lemon drink. No more body freezing but sore eyes and throat... begin to cough... FLU... :pissed:

On next day (yesterday) is US public holiday (Thanksgiving) - I slept all the day and drank hot lemon with honey a lot... It calm my bad cold and sore throat down. Today is my working day, I still have flu so I put the scarf around my neck to keep my sore throat warm...

I need more hot lemon with honey so I will have it when I am home from work.

I know I suffer bronsil every winter for years... I start to cough and know bronsil will come soon... I am trying to do everything to rid of bronsil with the help from hot lemon drink with honey or herbal tea for bronsil... I really hate bronsil...

Have you any suggestion how to cure flu, cough, bronsil and sore throat ? What have you any experience to cure your flu, etc without medicines?

I know today is boxkicking at Fitness Studio. My son loves it. I thought about sauna when my son remind me about boxkicking tonight at 7.00 pm and hope that I am fit to go fitness studio with him today. I said yesssss, when I thought about sauna... :giggle: I really NEED sauna to calm me down... I hate that flu...

Normally I went to sauna every wednesday for one hour (stay in sauna for 15 minutes and then out to shower to cool me down and lied for other 15 minutes then go in sauna again) but with flu is total different...

What is sauna?...You mean hot tub?

Ohhhhh That? yes yes I know what you're talking about now, actually I called it " hot house " :giggle: sorry I didn't know the same of it until you brought this up, I agree with you about the flu, I went there years ago, and I was coming down with a flu before I went into sauna and after being there for almost 40 mins or so, I feel much better not feeling sick anymore, I think this may help people's cold etc..I haven't been to sauna in a long time now, I should go again sometimes...

I was at Thanksgiving dinner last Wednesday
Is there a Thanksgiving in Germany? I know it should not happening, because of history is happening in North America.

No, there're no US Thanksgiving around Germany. I work for US Government in Germany who celebrate Thanksgiving in every casernes every year, not outside of casernes around Germany.

We have Erntedankfest here in Germany but not really similar as Thanksgiving Day. We have Erntedankfest to leave fruits, breads, wines, etc to thank God for his blessing, etc in many churches, not family dinner like US thanksgiving
A German Thanksgiving? Erntedankfest!

"hot house" sound better than "sauna" :giggle:

True, I notice for a first time that sauna helps. I went to sauna every wednesday for almost one year since I joined member at fitness studio last January 2007. (Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri - mixed and wednesday - ladies). I hope that men will be not around in sauna... I went to sauna sometimes in Fridays or Mondays when I see nobody are there but ladies... IF I see men in sauna today then I have to hide my body with towel and sleep to cure my flu in sauna to ignore them... :giggle:

There's no "cure" for flu and colds.

Flu can be prevented by getting the annual inoculation against it.

All infectious and contagious diseases can be prevented by better hygiene practices. That includes hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and not sharing food and drink.

People who are in better general health are more resistant to contagious diseases.

Home saunas were popular in the United States during the 1960-1980 period. No so popular now except at spas and health centers. Home hot tubs are more popular than spas now.

I believe you mean bronchitis. Here in USA we also call sauna (separately dry and wet saunas) here especially in health clubs, some hotels and even some residential houses too. I don't know if sauna would help for flu because I never had flu in my life. In the past when I had very bad cold, I took very hot shower then turned very cold shower to break the baterial in my systems and it sure did help me. It's strange cuz I haven't had cold for at least ten years. (knock knock) But it would help cold, bronchitis, sinus, and many others. Here is the link and look for under Benefits.

bronsil...

The suana makes you sweat and rid your body of the virus. Plus, the steam helps to break up the congestion.

It also helps to lose a few extra pounds. :)

Didn't know a sauna would rid your body of a virus.

If you have a fever you definitely don't want to heat or dehydrate your body.

Ah I don't think cold cure the flu when u use the sauna known as the hot house or the hot room. But it only help open sinus that good and lose extra pounds when u work out. I haven t use it in a while. Speaking of bronchitis it the worst feeling in the world to me like having a huge elephant sitting on my chest painfully. I had it twice was bad enough. I decided to get flu shot to be less sick and don't want to be sick around my child when she is so young at this age. Bad flu can even kill a person. So best to protect yourself against flu is get vaccine flu shot. :)

Sometimes cure for me.. I use strong coffee 100% HOT.. and drink glug it. Yeah it's will burn down the throat.. *ahhhhh your breath out* felt so good..

Sometimes cure for me.. vodka 1 oz drink it fast.. Let's burn down the throat.. Let's sing.. ahhhhh.. Wha..a.... great!

(chuckles)
That's all, what I did solution!
*ahem* Yes, I admit I'm nuts.. Don't ask question!
:P

I would use the old fashioned nature way "grandma's book" instead of those drugged pills

Didn't know a sauna would rid your body of a virus.

The process of sweating helps to carry the virus out of the tissues and fluids. Sweating is the body's natural mechanism for returning to homeostasis.
