I recently read that an estimated 5,000 red-winged blackbirds and starlings fell out of the sky just before midnight on New Year's Eve. All of the birds were found within a range of one mile. This occurred in Beebe, Arkansas. From what I know, it is very unusual for birds to fly at this hour. Something caused them to fly only to die and very quickly too as well. I doubt it was the fireworks though.

Meanwhile, the day before the event took place in Beebe, tons of drum fish were found dead in the Arkansas River. They are saying there were hundreds of thousands found dead. It's around 125 miles west of Beebe. They are saying that a disease is likely to blame. It can't be the pollution because if it was, it would had killed all of the fish species. Same with the birds.

There's also the case of earthquakes being detected several times a day in Guy, Arkansas. The town is roughly 40-50 miles from Beebe.

:hmm:

They are more likely to be isolated incidents, yet I still find them to be fascinating and bizarre.

Any thoughts?

Large alien civilization from many millennia ago waking underground and beginning to pulse to the surface.

Only those useful to said aliens will survive.

I can't help but believe that there is a connection to all these events that is scientifically explainable. The fish and the birds are obviously reacting to something, and it would appear that whatever they are reacting to could easily be connected to shifting fault lines that are causing the tremors.

Funnily enough, I re-watched the movie, "War of the Worlds" a while ago.

Perhaps, and in some cases with earthquakes, they can release gas which would be lethal to us and the animals. However, if that was the case, we would have seen more than just the dead birds and fish. Unless it was in an isolated location.

I hope we'll find an answer soon though. With the fish, they are saying it may be a disease affecting just the drum fish. For the birds, we don't know yet.

Banjo was playing banjo sourly so sour that birds and fishes died around him.

*ahem*

Me, too. But you are right...just because these events occurred in a related time sequence doesn't mean that they have a cause and effect relationship.

Right. There could be a connection or it's just a bizarre coincidence.

I zzz'ed. I didn't find this fascinating. Maybe it's because I'm dang sleepy at this moment.

I shrugged. A little bizarre sure but connected? We'll find out in due time.

Where's Fox Mulder when you need him?

as Dr. House says - "BORING!"

actually - I did try to dig around in some science sites... none reported it so far. I guess we'll have to wait for a few days or so.

ooooh maybe its a flashforward experiment, maybe I am the only one to have ever watched that show :P

Actually, that was the first thing that came to my mind when I read the news. Hee.

^5!!!

It sounds just like the exact same thing right as if we are all about to find out what is going to happen to us during the ides of April mmwwaahhaahhaahhaa

I know I can me a dork :giggle:

I think the answer is pretty obvious. Surprised that FoxNews or MSM has not speculated on the cause. It is simply a case of...

Al Gore!
