Hey guys,

Earlier this week, I decided to starting looking for a place to live to living alone myself with my cats this fall. It was much easier decision I’ve ever made in my life ever since my friends told me a few months ago about being living on my own, live anywhere I wants to.

So begun this week, I’ve been looking for a good price that can’t be unbeatable, I thought that the apartments would do a good thing for me, but I changed my mind about apartments, but go for townhouse this time around. My jaws was dropping on the floor after viewing the price! I don’t know if it’s real or not, I’m going to let you decide that.

The prices is between 195-199 dollars per month for my rent. Is it good thing for me to start that? It’s three bedroom, two bathroom. I figured that I should take it, because my family from England will be coming here to visiting us, there won’t be more rooms for them to sleeping around, so I will offer that rooms for them.

Guys, should I trust that price or not? I’m worried that I’m being fooled by this site.

Speaking of townhouse, I’m very nervous about living alone for the first time ever, because there’s no one for me to discuss with for that interesting topic for us to discussing about. I’m worried that I won’t be survive through one day enough already, so how can I overcome that fear of living alone? My cats will be accompany me in my new home, but not good enough for that isloation, I need somebody to talks to.

I’m hoping that you’ll be able to help me to overcome that fear of living alone!

Here's the website: Townhouse

Have you checked the place? Places renting cheaply like this is usually located in undesirable areas.

I would best suggest find a studio or 1 bedroom at the normal price range in a safer area. Townhouse is basically a bit too big for just one person..unless it's a 1 bedroom townhouse.

It would be probably $500-600 a month at starting rate in major town.

No, it is a rip off. Look at the normal prices for the area listed right underneath.

$195-$199/month for a townhouse in N.C.?....Impossible! And 3BR/2BA? Unbelievable! Nah. Can't be...Maybe he means $1,950.00 a month? Or basically $2,000 a month. If so, that's a nice townhouse.

What's the square footage?

I clicked on the website and looked at the ariel pics of the street where the townhouse is at. Judging from the kind of housing I saw, I would say that the neighborhood doesnt seem too great. There was one building that looked like a bunch of cheap dwelling put together. I have seen those in ghettos so my strong suggestion is to check it out before signing a contract.

are you sure is not more like $ 2,000 per month! A town house apartment are very expensive! Does the $195 apartment have a roof on the house!
I would not rent something that cheap unless you like having rats as roommates!

Gee, I wonder why there is no photos of the house! Run the other way!
Would you think of getting a hearing dog , my hearing dog ,a standard
poodle , bark whenever a person come in my building or near it . I own a condo. If you do find a new apartment , ask the landlord to change the locks for you! When I got my first apartment in Boston , Ma. in the South End the last tenant came right in when I was there ! He still had a key to the place! It scarce the Shit out off me! I was painting the place and the ladder was right in front of the door! ! I had a dog , but she was not a hearing dog ,she was sweet pet that did not bark!

Actually, I think this place is a "flop house". Probably rent out each bedroom. Different people, in and out!

Even HUD apartments are more expensive than $195/$199 a month!

And 10 years ago, I rented a townhouse on the river...and it was $775/month....10 years ago.

No way in high hell can you find a town house this cheap, probably in a drug-infested area and people sharing the rent. Not safe! I'd rather go to the YMCA if necessary! But hopefully you can find a nicer place to live, but be prepared to pay $800-$1,000 a month, for a townhouse in a more desirable area.

I used to live in a 3 story townhouse with garage with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for $1,335 a month with my ex gf. That's how expensive townhomes are. There's one for $900 a month for a 1 bedroom townhouse at the other apt complex I used to live in...but my unit wasn't a townhouse, though.

I used to be a real estate agent and that price is way too low. I could understand if $195-200 is for the association dues, but not for the rent.

I used to rent a townhouse with my hubby, my good friend and her family. 3 bedroom and 2.5 bathrooms for $1,800. That was in Rockville, MD. If it was $199, I would stay forever!!!! :giggle:

Yeah....at that price...I would stay forever, for sure. ;) $1,800 a month sounds about right for a 3 bedroom townhouse with 2.5 bathrooms....mine was in a high class area which was Bothell.

That's what I thought, that the $195-200 would be association fees.

I just clicked on it, it says $720 per month, so the $195-200 thing must be for association fees like some of you said.

Hmm... there are a lot of abbreviations in that ad. It makes me wonder if it's the real thing or just a scam.

$200 is very very very cheap for ANY townhouse. From my experience, most 3 bedroom 2 bathroom townhouses range from $800 to $1,200. That's why I'm sitting here wondering if it's the real thing.

Have you tried researching that townhouse on other websites or calling the apartment complex to see if it's real?

That's what I do when researching apartments. If I find an ad listed in an apartment listing like rent.com or apartments.com or apartmentguide.com or whatever... I will look up the real website to see if all the information matches.

Finally, I found a apartment in Greenville at long last. This beautiful lady herself told me on the phone that there's empty apartments now available for few months! I'm SO going to take it!!! For that I'll be living in the upstairs apartment.
