I love quotes and they inspired me. Because sometimes quotes are too good to be true and they last 4ever in our lives. Sometime one simple quote can change the world. Sometime it even change us. Quotes can also save lives. So I though i'd post this thread so everyone can post their favorite quotes to shares with all of us.

I have so many favorite quotes.. Where do I begin? :giggle:

"You don’t marry someone you can live with - You marry the person who you cannot live without."

"The greatest thing you’ll ever learn, is to love and be loved in return."

"No man is worth your tears, the only one who is, will never make you cry"

"Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live."

"It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return, but what is the most painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let the person know how you feel."

"The difference between school and life? In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson."

"The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live."

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."

"If you only do what you know you can do- you never do very much."

"Have the courage to say no. Have the courage to face the truth. Do the right thing because it is right."

"A true friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out."

"People come into your life and people leave it - you just have to trust that life has a road mapped out for you."

"A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are."

"True friends stab you in the front, Fake friends stab you in the back"

My choice of quotes vary day to day, depending on mood and circumstance (and the positioning of the planets . . . just kidding). Many I like, here's 5:

"Anyone without a sense of humor is at the mercy of everyone else."
-- William E. Rothschild

"Now I want you to remember that no bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor bastard die for his country."
-- General George Smith Patton, Jr.

"It may be that our role on this planet is not to worship God--but to create him."
-- Arthur C. Clarke

"I have long been of the opinion that if work were such a splendid thing the rich would have kept more of it for themselves."
-- Bruce Grocott

Truly, my most favorite quote, of all time, would have to be Helen Keller's. While being a "refugee," I came across this quote when visiting her hometown in Alabama.

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens, often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us."
-- Helen Keller
