Would you be offended or quite shocked if someone gave you some cleaning products as a gift?

I wouldn't feel offended or be quite shocked, while some do because they feel that you're telling them that their house is dirty, but that's not the case. Some people buy vaccum cleaners for someone as a gift, would that be telling you that your carpet is dirty also?

I voted "no" I could use some now since there's a lot of virus germs in my house. :eek3:

I voted I dont know...it depends on what was given and by who. I have never had that experience so honestly, I cant say how I will react until it actually happens. I dont think I will be offended but shocked, maybe, cuz it is not a common gift that friends or family members (except for maybe spouses) would choose as a Christmas gift or at least not in my family as far as I know.

It depends on the products, the giver, whether or not I hinted for it, and the occasion.

I know one person who got condoms in a stocking from her hubby but she gave them to her other friend who was single at the time. Her friend must have put them in good use. :giggle:

not really.. its a thought that counts.. since they prolly see your vacum cleaner being old and worn out so they are helping you out by getting u new one or small one for your car.. some people may be offended but i wouldnt be offended if i got them for christmas or birthday. :)

nope and I wouldn't be hurt if they offered their time to help me clean either!

Well, I would think it is werid if anyone give me clean products. I will say thank you. My dad gave us food cans, etc for christmas. I thought he was so cheaper! lol

I wouldn't be offended probaby say :ty: very much I can use these products to clean my place, it is a little odd. I would have a sparkling and shiny place after I cleaned it :) I voted no.

Not everyone could afford so much, it's what the thoughts count. :thumb:

My brother got me dish soap with dish towels in a basket I thought that was a cute gift. ;)

I voted no, at least my mom could use a cleaning product

Well, if I was given a can of Ajax scouring powder, I'd think it'd be the same as if I gave someone a bottle of Listerine for Christmas! :giggle:

Some people got a funny ideas about the gifts they received.

For example a worker got off from work nursing her sore thumb - injury caused by at work, and other worker gave her a garden glove for christmas kringle she finds it offence and complain to the boss and refused to accept the gift. The giver was very hurt about it.

The Giver said she thought she loves garden which is true. But the Complainer believe she is bully about her injury thumb!!

To give anyone a Listerine is no way !! LOL HA HA

It would depend on what the cleaning product was and its purpose.

If it was a new vacuum that's better than their old vacuum, it would probably be considered a good gift. If it was a vacuum for someone who just got a new apartment or home, that would also be considered a good gift.

If it was a simple feather duster or cleaning wipes, then I might be offended since these are simple cleaning products that anyone can buy at a local dollar store.

It's like those mints candy or mints gum. If someone offers you a mint, is it because they're just offering you something like they would with any other candy or is it their way of saying... "Your breath stinks." We never know, but we just take it and smile. :)

I opted for NO cause I'm an uni student, and I cannot afford state of art cleaning products xD
