It happened to me and my sister yesterday... when we was on bus chatting, a woman signed to us, said that she teach deaf at a kingdom church in St. Paul. Later on we realized that she is a Jevonah Witness and want us to join her church, so we decided not to contact her. We didn't give our last name because if we do, then they would start show up at our door, no thanks....

Does anyone encountered a JW person in the public?

I knew one deaf woman who is JW and I had to push her away from me. I hate it when they try to convience me to join them. NO Thanks!!

Yes I have met them before. Seriously, they re most annoying people in the world. I understand that they need to spread their gospels but they need to understand that all of us ALREADY know about bible, just that some of us chose to not follow the religious or have different religious.

Amen, (no pun intended lol) I mean God, we live in a country where even SECULAR families have a lot of Bible knowledge.
Oh and Jehovah's Witnesses are CREEPY!!!!!!!!!!!

No I haven't approach a Jevonah Witness in public before but there are some that do come to my home...

I agree! :)

I was at a hospital interpreting assignment where JW signers showed up to visit the Deaf consumer, uninvited. I was kind of surprised because hospital security is much stricter now about visitors. Later, I found out that a hospital staff member (a JW) let the Kingdom Hall know that a Deaf person was in the hospital, and set up the visit.

A person I know in another state recently told me that JW pay Deaf people to join them. I was shocked! I knew that the JW have a very aggressive outreach to Deaf people but I didn't know about the money. I don't know if they do it everywhere but at least in one state they do.

Geez!

If I was that patient I would be quite pissed. That is disrespectful!

I hope no one do that to me when I have my surgery in two weeks!

That is GREAT??

In my Mental state of opinion, I disagree that nurses in hopsital who send JW to deaf patient.. I can't imagine that If Deaf patient whoever lay on bed for blood transfer.. Jw would come and testifty him / her about warning about blood transfer.. because JW never believing the blood tranfer/ blood giver in their beliefs...

is that about knock on the door and ask for to join the church?>

Yep. Some of them will try to intercept you by blocking your path and try to give you either bible or small books titled ,"YOU WILL GO TO HELL if you re not saved" :eek3: :eek3:

You're serious, Reba? I'm shocked at JWs being let in the hospital and at the paying of deaf to join their church. The very idea of paying people to join a church is really tacky.
