This is getting out of control - "What happens when you combine 200 liters of Diet Coke and over 500 Mentos mints? It's amazing and completely insane. The first part of this video demonstrates a simple geyser, and the second part shows just how extreme it can get. Over one hundred jets of soda fly into the air in less than three minutes."

No, it's for real. For some reason the Mentos makes the cola do that. There are several videos with a roll of mentos and a cola bottle on youtube.com.

another cool science expirement to do.. have an empty 20 oz plastic pop bottle. put "the works" chemical in.. and have foil in.. close the bottle.. shake it and throw it outside.. it will work like a firecrakers*** :D

Hmm...

I wonder what would happen if they filled a 18-wheeler tanker with Diet Coke and then dumped a huge load of Mentos in it?

Hmm... for a typical tanker truck, that's 15,000 liters. It would take 7,500 bottles of Diet Coke to fill it up. That would also mean 7,500 rolls of Mentos as well. ;)

Yes and there'll be a huge mess and sticky to clean up :lol: I don't think anyone would be pleased to have this huge mess. Ants love sugar, so they probably swarm all over the place as well.

A simple device could be installed inside the tanker. That device will hold all the candy. All you have to do is press the button and it will dump all the Mentos into the Diet Coke.

ZOMG! A super geyser!

I'm sure it can be rinsed off by another tanker filled with water. ;)
 
I wonder if someone put in 10,000 mentos mints at Pepsi Factory where they make Pepsi in a large tank. So no more Pepsi for a few days. :lol:
