Forum for vision loss?

I would love to see a forum for those who are deafblind, or can/will be due to usher syndrome, ect. It seems conversations of that nature end up all over the board and it'd be nice to have a central place to find them all.

Just a suggestion.
 
That's a GREAT idea. Maybe also a section specificly for other miscellouns disabilites?
 
Creating a forum for the deafblind is an excellent idea and is something I'd love to see added to AD.

There are some deafblind AD'ers here....
 
I agree. That would be a good idea. How many deafblind are there here? I know of Aleser and Hear again. Also there used to be one called Ladyduke who stopped posting. Any others?

GraysonPeddie is deafblind, but I don't know of any others. :dunno:
 
I know of at least two others with usher syndrome where their RP isn't advanced right now. I recall them posting in a thread one after another, but I can't for the life of me remember the usernames.
 
I think this would be a good idea, I had no idea what Usher Syndrome was until late last night. The eye doctor suggested I may have RP. Didn't quite know what that was either. Until I posted on AD. But got a few to respond to my thread and I thank them very much..

Now I'm in awe and shock. Really don't know what to think. I could be wrong but I really doubt it due to all my symptoms fit. I have accepted the fact that I'm deaf but not the fact that I'm losing my vision. Right now I can see very well but it is getting worst over time and like I said in a previous post I have severe night blindness and my perpendicular vision is bad, I'm able to see at daytime and but I still bump into things.

I still have to go to a specialist, I will make an appointment tomorrow. due to today is Sunday.
