Sidekick 1,2,and 3 will soon closed on Nov. 2008

I'll call and find out to be SURE. I think what she meant is T-mobile stop making SK2 & 3 and keep making more SK LX etc. I'll call and make sure. I still have my SK2 but disconnected for temporary.
 
I think that she means about will shut the network down on SK 1-3 like you cannot call or receive an data connection anymore, just like old phone that use TDMA, that has been shut down since last Feb.

The production of SK 1-3 has been ended so recently.
 
I dont think so. IF it is real, they should send information on our T-Mobile bill statement about it but I didnt see anything. I guess that it is just RUMOR or misunderstand!
 
^^ Yeah I never heard anything in the news or Tmobile announced about the shut down of the SK1, 2 and 3. If its a rumor or very misunderstood. We need to hear the facts straight from Tmobile company for source. I do have Sk3 and if they shut it down, I will figure out to get another one.

I think that it means that they no longer made Sidekick 1 and 2. But Sidekick 3 still left more in stock but no more made SK3. Other newer SK still made more.

Oh boy, I bet that she was misunderstand or she got a news from someone who was misunderstand!
 
Remember Microsoft bought Danger (maker of hiptop/sidekick etc)
 
Why? Because they want us to buy expensive brand new sidekicks? What a greed.
 
I just called tmobile (I don't have a transcript) anyone who has a Sidekick 1, 2, and 3 can still use them, but they can't upgrade to a 2 and 3 for example, if you have sk1 and want sk 2 or 3 can't bec they will no longer make them. If you want to upgrade your Sidekick for any reason must buy the new Sidekick 4, I believe is the slider and LX. So, you can keep your current sidekick with no worries. Its confirmed they just won't be for sale anymore.

That's what I was also thinking.

They wouldn't just disconnect our phones and force us to upgrade.
